Defiance: Advanced Mission Beta 3 Details

I only just started to get interest from everybody on my friends list and was hoping the beta might sway them,there not even gonna bother with the DL time for this.Makes no difference to me since my mind was made up without the need to playtest the game,but a whole lot of people were waiting on trying it before commiting and i can see many of them forgetting about the game after this.I have never seen a beta this short but i think peoples anger comes more from the really short time mixed with the fact that time is held during the working week.

And with the alpha,multiple betas and multiple stress tests the comments from some of you PC guys,to the rather understandable displeasure at this news,are really disappointing (i thought we had a better community here than that).

You know what's funny about what you said there. To sum it up, MS charges users for every little thing they can, while overall offering less (not even a built-in web-browser), and then still has to toss more money at trying to "be better". Kind of ironic... that's exactly what used to happen the last gen. I used to head up an electronic department as Team Lead... and we couldn't keep our PS2s in stock, yet MS vendors would come in and put stickers for THREE free games on the older boxes, and newer boxes were printed from the factory to have THREE free games, and could still hardly sell. Just seems ironic.

Also funny you mention complaining and entitlement... unless I missed something, all the complaining and entitlement on these forums is coming from 360 users!? LOL.

i got a ps3 and i cant stand it havent turned it on in 8 months xbox way much better system overall hell u guys r still struggling trying to play skyrim lol

lol why does it always come down to this. I'm going to make a wild assumption that you don't have an Xbox, go ahead and correct me if I'm wrong. But being a person that has owned every PS and Xbox..........I will NEVER say LIVE isn't worth the money. I made the earlier assumption because I don't know 1 person that owns or has owned both and says LIVE is a waste of money (especially in comparison to PSN). Usually they simply say I got tired of paying for it or couldn't...so on and so forth. I will leave it at this, I've played video games for over 23yrs and I play more of my online based games on 360 (DCUO and other PS3 exclusive are literally the only games I'll play online on my PS3).

I have to agree I own both as you can see from my sign. Compared to psn , xbox live tremendous better. Only games I play on ps3 is figthers because of the bigger community . I prefer to use xbox live. I know some dont see a reason in paying for it and thats okay. But when you compare the two services xboxlive is better to me. Not talking about the console itself. I would rather pay MS then deal with jacked up psn

We all know damn well the beta is for testing purposes. But how the hell are we suppose to test it for only 30 some hours?

You guys? Damned if I care what PS3 is doing with Skyrim, it's best on PC anyways... mod-able that way. As for the rest, to each their own. I also have both ps3 and 360. I barely touch the 360, especially the Kinect... I've used Kinect all of 4, maybe 5 times since its launch. I love the Move on PS3 using the Sharpshooter, I also found XBL to truly be a waste of money (reason you don't get a browser on 360 is so MS can lock you into having to pay for EVERYTHING, rather than being able to browse for free services)... as you get more options on PS3 for free, along with PS Home (rather than an avatar that just stands there and looks pretty on 360, LOL), PS3 has better exlusive titles, along with more true RPG/open-world/sandbox titles, etc.

I own both, and I don't want to pay for live because PS3 online. To me it is worthless.

Its because I don't care to pay when I can have free online with PSN, which frankly from what I demoed with Xbox is about the same. I can get most, if not all of the multiplayer games I care about on PS3, and I keep my xbox for the sake of those annoying exclusives that probably need to stop soon.

I also always prefered PSN's simple design over Xbox's mess.. But now it seem they've both evened out, yay 'progress'.

Thanks to a partnership with Dodge, we revealed last week that players pre-ordering Defiance will also get an exclusive in-game red Dodge Challenger at launch, in addition to the previously announced pre-order reward items.

@sledge Does that mean that those of us who pre-ordered on steam will also get a challenger at launch? You were not very clear whether this was a limited to a specific Pre-order provider.

Also how will those of us who pre-ordered on steam going to be sure that we are invited into the beta event 3? is there a communication or solid confirmation that steam will be notifying their customers?
