48 hours is plenty of time. And server issues with homefront or brink would be Sony or Microsoft's fault not the game dev's fault so blame them. And there's more to game's then stupid PVP. And if you really that annoyed because of server errors than why are you even bothering to get this game? You do realize almost every MMO's launch has server errors and crashes for the first week or so regardless to how much beta testing there is.

You are wrong on both BRINK and HOMEFRONT, they BOTH apologized for THEIR errors........I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have made announcements, apologies, and gave out free DLC if it wasn't their fault.

Stop defending this tactic with fanboyism. The test is held on a Monday and Tuesday where a majority of people work and go to school. Are you some kind of bum to society that you mean to tell me you do not work or go to school or have a family to attend to? It's nowhere near enough time and Defiance will most likely suffer for it in the end on the 360 platform. This isn't enough time for me to share with my friends how awesome and wonderful the world of Defiance is. No one wants to buy another game I recommend after what happened with Aliens. And I feel terrible about that because Gearbox showed me a product that looked entirely different than what they actually sold me. That's why I filed a complaint with the BBB to Gearbox in regards to false advertisement. Not saying that this is the case with Defiance but the time slot for the 360 is not enough time for anyone to even get a feel for if they like the game or not.

I've graduated from school a long time ago, And my job only req 2 hours a day 7 days a week. BTW i'm not a fanboy of this game I will probably play it for a few weeks straight and then on and off a few times a month, Since I have ton's of other games I'm playing and would like to soon play. And seriously you filed a complaint with the BBB over a stupid game? That's pretty low. Also I thought the new aliens game was very good. I think you just need to learn and accept the fact's that life is not fair and is hard deal with it like every other person has to. Like I said before if your really that paranoid about this game being bad then don't buy it, nobody is forcing you to.

I do agree with the fact that the days they chose are the worst possible, I just don't understand what everyone was expecting? It's a beta not a demo, if you were expecting a large amount of time to play then you reserved for the wrong reasons. The betas there to tweak the final build, attract people, and just see how a server plays out with players inside. It's not really there for the consumer, even when your accepted into it. I do think they should atleast roll it back to the weekend before the 25th though.

i would be absolutely fine with that, if it was a saturday/sunday i'd be happy. I'm not gonna lie i'm sure i'd have some sort of quip about how we got the short end of the stick, but it wouldn't have me actually irritated. The entire reason of the beta for me personally, was to decide between 360 and PC, I have the UE pre-ordered for both already, but with the timing for the 360 I won't be able to test it at all to figure out what i need too, which is really disappointing for me.

See, I'm in an odd position. I know for a fact I will get this game, and I will get the ultimate edition. I am INCREDIBLY excited about this game, but that's not why i want to beta it. in fact, I usually avoid beta's like the plague because i like that whole "new game smell". the only reason i'm beta-ing this is because of the multiple consoles, and being really torne between 360 and PC. because if the communication on 360 is bad, it's gonna kill it for me. I really don't want to have wasted 150 bucks on the wrong version.

Sledge is just the community manager. I told him to look into it since people are canceling pre orders and are dissatisfied. I think this has to be with Microsoft honestly. They tend to have bogus rules. Their one rule is if an downloadable game comes out on PSN first it cannot be on XBLA. Thats why they did not rerelease some of the Oddworld games or the Back To The Future game from Teltale.

Only reasons I would ever have to edit a post, would be to fix grammatical errors, and mispelling. Please don't try to assume I would lower myself to the level of changing my posts simply for the 'fun' of misleading people around like a kid's game.

When a company is intentionally spewing out false advertisement and demoing a portion of the game that looks far superior than any version sold and showing bits and pieces that were left on the cutting room floor is grounds for complaint to the BBB for false advertisement. You only work 2 hours a day? That's not work. Some people work over 40 hours a week, not everyone is as lucky as you and only get to work for 14 hours a week. When you leave your job for something better than dropping fries you will understand.

I submitted my complaint to protect consumers from greedy business tactics that Sega and Gearbox both pulled off this last February and throughout 2012 at PAX East, E3, and PAX Prime.
