I know I am reply to my own but this is also the reason why some games on xbox live don't get the patches that they need and most likely never will get.

Well, IMHO that's BS on Microsofts part. Why does it even cost that much?

So the PC beta is the 22nd? A week before launch? steam is never going to reach the first teir of rewards.. Oh well. Nothing we can do about it and griping won't help. Atleast it's still being released April 2nd.

Only the most recent stuff has been xbox, but before then it was all pc. And to those saying ps3 is getting screwed over remember that for us PS3 gamers this is the first time we are even going to SEE the game on PS3. And some people have mentioned that there is more support for Xbox... Yes there is that is why they are probably promoting ps3 with a little more time and to allay fears that the game Is not ready for the PS3. Either way that's the way its going down the game comes out April 2nd anyways.

Yeah it shouldn't have even been a "pre-order" incentive to get the beta key. At this rate, everyone who owns an Xbox and is on Xbox Live Gold should just be able to download the "beta" and play during the period. Thus making it a truly open beta and preorder incentives worthless.

Which MS will hopefully change their patch policy for Next gen because Steam Box looks more promising everyday. Considering Valve made it easy for developers to patch whenever they want to.

That would be because steam box is a PC and patching is easy and free on the PC, Plus it's free to put your game on the PC a well, Unless your put it though steam I think there's a small fee but nothing like microsoft.

Regardless, both console betas should start the same day and have the same amount of available play time.

I would like to know how much it cost to have a beta client for the xb360 version on live for 2 days. I mean just to patch a game through xbox live cost $40,000 USD just for them to allow a game to be patched. I wouldn't even want to think how much Trion payed just to have them do the 2 day beta.

Are you really going to let a day of a beta that doesn't even represent the full game decide if you get the game or not? A day?!
How does a day tell you there will be more problems with the final product? There is no correlation between those 2 thoughts.
Also I'm not a fanboy, I just see nothing wrong with the development of this game yet. A beta means nothing to me, so there's nothing to judge.

The beta access is not deciding whether I get the game or not. If you read my post, you would know that I am now waiting for reviews. I am not trying to buy a broken MMO early. Why should I when I can wait on reviews? If there are bugs in the game with less than 3 weeks until release then I will wait until it is fixed before I buy it.

And I said you're a fanboy, because you have 407 posts on the official forum for a game that hasn't been released. It seems that you've made up your mind. I get it. Good job!
