I don't understand why everyone is getting so upset about the short beta for 360 when the game releases a week after beta. Have a little patience. I don't know about you guys but I preordered the game for the game not the beta.

That's a part of the issue. Trion has continuously said the console betas would be 'soon', yet this 'soon' has really been three months. After waiting these three months, we find out we get a 37 hour beta.

Also the assumption that it has something to do with 360 is more likely due to his wording. Not saying "circumstances not entirely within our control" proves it, but not saying it doesn't either...plain and simple, someone is a DB and it apparently isn't TRION.

Still doesn't explain the shortness of the pc beta. I mean sure some lucky players got in for longer but this is the first oppurunity for the public at large. The Beta needs to be lengthened to a week. If not they can expect sales to suffer. Its seems allmost capricious to sell your game offering beta keys and then you don't have a beta. 2 days is not a beta its a stress test.

Part of why I preordered the game, especially the CE, was being able to beta test the game for hopefully a longer period than < 37 hours. Well, not even that, but the fact that the 360 beta is on Monday and Tuesday is a huge slap in the face to everyone who plays games. Oh and not to mention the average age of a gamer is 37 years old and should have a normal 40 hour work week. This is a Mature rated game so players 17+ are either still in high school, higher studies, or at work. Who was behind this marketing campaign or whatever you want to call it?

Trion, you should reconsider your marketing firm or person in charge of promotional campaigns because I can assure I can do a 125% better job than this. I see no value in preordering the game anymore. I was able to beta test WoW longer than this before it went retail. Someone somewhere is withholding information.

Don't get me wrong, still very excited to play the game. But now I am considering waiting a few months to see if it's ported over to next-gen. So...yeah, this may end up in a loss of sale.

Wait, there's someone complaining about the PC BETA now........really?????!!!! Dude I got an invite to the other 2 BETAs for PC (but sadly mine is dated and I have no reason to upgrade) so you have no room to complain. If you didn't play them then that's your own fault for showing up late to the game. Honestly, I'm not *****ing at you when I say this...just excited at the notion that a PC gamer is now complaining as well when you guys had TWO PC only BETAs already.

I bet all those people that complained about us (360 users) won't say anything about this.

Actually this became a defacto open beta when they released tens of thousand of keys that just anyone can get by filling out an account registration no more difficult then the beta reg form. For all intents and purposes this is an OPEN beta. Nice try though.

Let me further add I have all 3 platforms and did plan on the pc port. But Xbox users have every right to be incensed because the were promised beta access and do to the shortness and the timing a great many of them will never get access. Why not just extend the "betas" to a full week for all platforms even if you don't bother collecting data anymore. I just find it stange that they sell preorder copies promising a BETA and then slap us in the face with a beta so short that unless you call in to work your not likely to get in on it unless you got ps3.

Its kind of like the Game of thrones situation. You can't just go to Itunes and buy it or anywhere else for that matter online BUT HBO's special service. If this has changed recently then good but the point remains. HBO creates a great series with huge demand and then doesn't make it as easy as possible to actually BUY it. So you have a situation where a product is in high demand but becuase it is difficult to even give somebody the money for said goods it more often then not gets pirated. In this case they create a game and alot of buzz and then make it impossible to demo the thing before biting the bullet. You have alot of fans chomping at the bit for your hot new title and your response to this is to make it so hard to actually demo the thing that alot of players will not be willing to commit.

Actually, it's your opinion that the beta is open, officially it's still under a non disclosure agreement, by definition, or defacto, is still closed. doesnt matter how many keys are out, it's still requireing a key.
