Defiance: Advanced Mission Beta 3 Details

I alpha and beta tested Hawken longer than what the "Mission Betas" have offered to those who participated in those. The only real way to test Defiance was to be an "alpha" tester. If they are still calling them alpha testers then my god am I scared for this game. They're are just closed beta testers.

Pc had 2 closed betas that a microscopic amount of players by comparrison to this open beta ever saw. Idk maybe some guy John Doe got 3 betas but I like allmost everyone else gets ONE beta and its just a short as the 360 gets and we are very much entitled to complain about it.

yeah 2 days of beta and the worse days of the week monday and tuesday lowest days of people being online if u want to do a stress test doing on a weekend for god sakes heck when i do get on that day probally wont be nobody to run with on monday or tuesday lol

Who said this was an open beta? i thought you had to get an invite.

Actually, one of those betas ended up getting an extra weekend.

EVEN BETTER, PC is by far in the lead for amount of time spent being able to use the game

touch on a few points raised.

1) this is an OPEN beta. Anyone can join and therefore it is OPEN to the public. Do not think Trion worlds can redefine reality and the whole English language because they call an open beta a closed one.

2)Alot of players PAID FOR this beta. They do infact owe them something. They choose to sell there game in part with promises of beta access and now they are beeing called to account for unsatisfactory efforts to deliver.

3)There is and will be only 1 pc open beta same as the consoles. Bringing up closed betas that very few had access to argue a pc player has less right to complain is not only wrong but counter productive to your own complaints.

This is NOT an "open" beta... last I knew, it's not open to "everybody". There are those that do NOT pre-order that can still be selected for a random beta code... not to mention everything is being WIPED after, which makes it a CLOSED beta.

I've also stated numerous times why the PC has had more betas fyi... it's to work out all the kinks with so many varying configurations of PC hardware... which isn't an issue for consoles.

You have missed the point. I didn't say there was. They are also not alpha testers. They are beta testers. Defiance should have been out of Alpha by mid January and into Beta by Februay. This game is Gold and already certified (or just got their first certification back, wether they already passed or failed I don't know, but I assume they passed.) it comes out in about 4 weeks. Gold certification takes exactly 4-6 weeks. Failing cert, means you miss your ship date. That can't happen with this game. So the game is definitely gold. Everything being tested now is for any random bugs, server stress, and to see what happens when the game goes into population.

No, I'd say you missed your own point. You said there were no alpha testers, and even here you say, "They are also not alpha testers. They are beta testers." -- This game has had BOTH alpha AND beta testers... the alpha testers were hand-picked, and held strict to the NDA... heck, there's still stickies about the Alpha testers... so wtf.

Allow me to break through the walls of 360 v/s PC and say i understand and you make some very good points.The 360 crew just see that there have been many options for the PC guys/gals to get in on the action already.However,its not your fault you missed or was not picked for those so to me that validates your point.It is the fact that this is the first possible chance at anything for the xbox that makes them feel like they have more right to shout (could be wrong though).
