Defiance: Advanced Mission Beta 3 Details

We are entitled. Many PAID FOR this "beta" with the expectation they would actually IDK have a beta at a time a date at least reasonably scheduled to allow players the chance to play. This is most certainly not for anyone except maybe ps3 users. Btw anyone check trions stock lately? would not be surprised if it hadn't ticked down allready.

have you guys noticed the tags? by far some of the most immature stuff is down there.

I can take credit for the Simcity tag lol. Think its pretty obvious this launch will bomb by now with no beta test to speak of. Allthough the mass cancelations will help server load abit so maybe not. But short changing your costumers is never a good opening move.

It saddens me, and makes me rich, to know there are so many suckers in the world who are willing to put blind faith in entities thats whole reason for existence is taking advantage of you.

well just a poor marketing stratedy by trion on giving the xbox gamers the shaft why spend your hard earn money on a game u dont know nothing about how its going to play when so many crappy games have came out

as I have mentioned before until the beta PS3 has been the screwed over one.. we had no information on PS3 at all... was it beta ready *shrug* was it buggy *shrug* was it going to be delayed *shrug* could we see some video of ps3 play *shrug* does it suck that xbox isn't getting as long of a beta... yes of course it does. Do you really think Trion would scorn the xbox crowd just because... of course not its probably a limit on the MS side.

I can sympathize that PS3 has been left out of the information loop, Xbox has only briefly been touched on. You guys at least have some decent time for the beta however, I don't think i'd be near as annoyed if the dates didn't coincide with my classes and job.

What beeing mislead by a company and taking your bussiness elsewhere? Its called beeing a smart consumer. Where is our 1 week open beta that is the norm? Is it so hard just to just extend it and make everyone happy? Its not like the beta servers will self destruct after 2 days. They just leave them on and allow access for 5 extra days and BOOM debacle averted. But they probably won't.

Why spend your money on something, when they spit on the community you belong to. Only hope this isn't a reflection of how they'll treat Xbox in the future.

You mean people who expect to sample a product before they commit to purchasing it? Don't worry, I'm sure that a 37 hour beta is enough time for Trion to manage a successful launch on a platform known for launching several MMOs [/sarcasm]. Seriously, if there are any problems at launch for the 360, you know where this forum will be headed. Better find a happy place on April 2nd.

Actually, as someone who is an xbox player and was debating on getting the game on PC or xbox (PC I have to wait until upgrade my PC in the summer, xbox I can get it as soon as I have cash) I have to say that I am less than impressed by this. I've not been following this thread for the last twenty pages or so, so I will assume Sledge hasn't responded with much more than "I'm looking in to it," but I'm going to admit that I am a little annoyed.

Why I'm annoyed however is not because of the dates - I'm annoyed because there appears to be an error between what Sledge posted this morning and what he believed he posted. I'm not saying this is his fault, CM's are often the ones caught in the crossfire between the dev team and the torches/pitchforks at the gates, but it seems weird that he was confused by the dates in the livestream chat and yet posted such wildly differing dates on the forums without realizing or processing the difference.

Now, I can empathize with the complaints that the beta was a preorder incentive. I can also empathize with the problems there are with the dates of the beta. However, it's this inconsistency that cheeses me off a little. I would like to have some kind of response soon, even if it's just a "the dates are what they are and we aren't changing it." I don't even want an explanation - it's just confusing as heck.

He responded a while back saying that if your playing on the Xbox 360 you can sign up to get a pc invite and that .
" A day or two before our PC beta goes live, we'll pull all those names and send you an email with instructions on how to get started in the PC beta - so even if you only can nab a couple hours on the Xbox 360 beta, you'll still get a taste of what Defiance is all about."
