That's my biggest concern here, especially given that a MMORPG purchase consists of both the game code and the service on the company side. Are we going to get the same amount of moderation, balancing, bug fixes, and events as the PC/PS3 crowd, or will there be more issues beyond Trion's ability to control hampering things on that end. Are they going to be scheduled well, or will people with jobs be out of the loop there too?
And if the game (heaven forbid) flops, will Trion offer to transfer my character and remainder of my season pass to the PS/PC copy I'll need to buy alongside a PS3(4?)/gaming pc I'll need to buy to play it on?
Side note: Sledge having solid titanium balls is apparent, but anyone want to wager that someone sent him with that solution expecting us to shoot the messenger? Seething hotbed of angry gamer geeks and he got told to fix things with baling wire and a bucket of warm spit.
Sledge, you're an ok guy in my book. My beef is with anyone involved in dropping this ball.
So here we go. Just tell me if I'm good or not, I'm on an ancient beast.
OS:Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002) SP2
Processor: AMD Turion(tm) X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-70 (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
Memory: 2 GB of System RAM
Graphics: ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics 892 MB
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Sound: Yeah I believe my sound card is built into my motherboard.
I could upgrade to Windows 8 in a day, if really necessary. Which I might do, it's not the prettiest thing but it has had some good reviews.
Lol @ maturity level and at assuming I am not a tester. But to completely shut down your "argument"
This is an open beta and a major and quite legitimate reason players join open betas is to try before they buy. This is the crowd they catered to offering the beta key with preorder. Now they are not making an acceptable effort to deliver on a promise they made as a condition of the sale. It stopped beeing a "favor" in letting us test there game when it came with a price tag. Allso changes the legal dynamics abit as well. The current situation borders on false advertising in respect to a beta invite bought and paid for and no reasonable effort made to ensure players can actually participate. Furthermore if they can't get it to encompass a weekend they need to grant full refunds for the preorders to anyone who can't cancel them.
Its not just about the XBOX beta. All the betas are too short and fail to provide enough time to formulate an opinion of weather the game is worth buying and I am starting to wonder if that isn't intentional. No better way to make up the cash spent on a failed product then tricking players into buying it last minute sight unseen. And considering they allready misled us into believing we were getting a beta test and not a few hour long sneak peek this scenario becomes more likely.
yeah i would still complain because pc and ps3 still gets a good lenghty time to play the beta xbox is still screwed they shouldnt give the beta out to nobody let them firgure it out on there own they seem like the have to xbox beta down so hell fix the other ones on your own also well see how sales r when first day of release comes out missed alot of money on xbox i know thats a fact we were one of there biggest providers for the game i mean first true mmo on xbox in forever if thats not a good marketing stratedy i dont know what else would be they could have made a killing off xbox gamers and made a good start for mmo's to come to xbox
sadly some xbox players dont have good PCs (including myself) so the beta code is useless
Its not reasonable by your standards. It still doesn't defeat or "shut down" my argument. Obviously you have never debated before because all you are doing is dancing around my points. It still doesn't change any of the facts. You wanted something and because it isn't to your liking you start acting like a spoiled kid that didn't get their iPhone. This is ridiculous.
