I work 40 hours a week, have a wife and kid, and I have an hour commute to my office making my work day effectively 10 hours. I've still magically got enough time to put in a few hours of beta when I get home. I don't know how other than I must live in a time warp or something...

A $50 gift horse is not a gift horse. Expecting to receive goods you paid for does not make one entitled. Lose the personal attacks thats like admmiting your argument fails before you even make it

Today's stream was Alpha, not Beta. Alpha's are always more buggy because they are constantly developing and making daily releases whether it's fine-tuned or not. I am a software engineer so I deal with this a lot.

And what is the beta code derived from? The alpha code of course. While the more traditional development model transitions from an alpha to a beta, in this case Trion is using the beta to provide a more stable version of the alpha code. As such a bug in the alpha will still be present in the beta. As a developer you wouldn't leave an issue broken in the alpha only to fix it in the beta ;you would use the alpha as a testing environment to ensure that the fix works correctly before applying it to the beta.

How long have you own an Xbox 360?? How do you think the Gold membership works? Every online game you play on Xbox 360, COD,BF is run on a private server.

Defiance will run from a centralized server (which is why the three games will be updated simultaneously).

Hey guys,

Wanted to chime in here about the different beta dates and lengths for our third and final beta event. Due to circumstances not entirely within our control, each platform has a slightly different start and end date. In the case of Xbox 360, our beta event happens on a Monday and a Tuesday (certainly non-ideal for folks who are working during those days.) We're hoping that everyone can queue up to download the beta in the morning when it goes live so we can all play together in the afternoon and evenings, but being realists, we realize this still doesn't work for everyone.

To help with that, we want to give PC beta codes to every Xbox 360 player who wants one. To make sure you get one of these codes, make sure you have made a Trion account at http://defiance.trionworlds.com and applied your Xbox 360 beta code to that account. A day or two before our PC beta goes live, we'll pull all those names and send you an email with instructions on how to get started in the PC beta - so even if you only can nab a couple hours on the Xbox 360 beta, you'll still get a taste of what Defiance is all about.

my only question is, what are the current minimum requirements for the PC? will it run on Core i3 with Intel HD Graphics 3000? cause unfortunately, that's what I am stuck with(which is why I am playing on 360).

Xbox is not getting a beta thats the point. If a tree falls and nobody is around to hear it does it make a sound?

Erm... so you're going to report people for saying "entitled" and yet you're going to take the brat approach and claim Xbox is NOT getting a beta when it's been clearly stated that they ARE... I'd think that might be reportable grounds for trolling? (Even going so far as saying it'll end in only 2 seconds? Really?) Or no? *shrugs*

PS - Not exactly trying to fight/debate... simply make sense of your logic. oO (Btw, unless you were purposely going for sarcasm, your post contradicts itself. Just because you can't "attend" the beta doesn't mean the beta doesn't exist... same as if nobody's around to hear the tree fall doesn't mean the tree never actually fell.)

PPS - Again, apologies, but by technical definition expecting/complaining that a schedule be made specifically just to match yours when there's so many other users to consider and timezones to figure in... might still fall into the "entitlement" category. (For what it's worth, I wasn't even aware they were doing a third beta... I thought I'd missed all the betas that already happened... I was already going to pre-order on PC even without beta to be honest.)
