Than maybe you need to take more time to decide if it's a game you want or not. I have never in my life bought a game that I regretted since I watch game play video's, read reviews, comments. Maybe you should try that more often instead of buying a game because the company tells you it's the best game out this year.
Not possible when the 3 clients are by definition different. I mean sure the server will update but it entirely possible the clients will contain bugs that other clients will not have. The concern that xbox bugs will be fixed at a lower priority is valid. Especially when they allready convinced many players to preorder on ps3 instead with the beta debacle. Lower player count = lower priority.
It will not for an MMO but theres not many of thoose on XBOX compared to normal games. The vast majority employ player hosting at least occasionally.
...and yet the same people keep cropping up on page after page playing the moral high ground and ignoring some genuine concerns. It's like trench warfare on here, and no side is coming out of it with much credit.
And by the way, not all of of the xbox community is fickle. Talk about tarring everyone with the same brush.
In a good development cycle, beta code is a stable version of the alpha code, but typically that means they say "We need to buckle down and fine-tune this stuff and eliminate the bugs and stop working on NEW code." Personally, I'm always making alpha code that, since I'm the sole developer on my project, is only ever seen or used by me. I release beta code to QA for testing purposes and when we get all the changes we want, we make a final release.
In the case of the stream today, it was alpha which means that will not be in the beta we get access to next week. If they developed properly, major bugs would be removed before a beta was released. Any of the bugs we saw in the alpha stream SHOULD be created by tweaks to the beta we have access to. That admittedly may not be the case, but it should be in a good development environment.
I pre-ordered. but not for the Beta. I pre-ordered cause I want the game. hell, depending on my work schedule, I may not even play the Beta at all. and I'm fine with that. cause I'm gonna play the game in 3 weeks anyway.
paying 60 dollars for access to a beta is stupid. silly teens who buy(or badger their parents to buy) some crappy crapfest game, cause it has a Battlefield 4 code in it. smh.
