So Xbox customers pay the same as PS3 customers for pre-order which includes this "beta" yet they get far less play time. How is that even legal?

Simply the fact you just called it "play time" already disqualifies you from any credible conversation/debate over this. Beta's are not "play time" fyi. Btw, best of luck pursuing this as a "legality", LOL... the pre-order only said beta-access, it never said for how long, when, etc. If it's that big an issue, cancel your pre-order and get a refund, really.

This is very close to irony, IMHO, especially since you can't seem to take your own advice and egg people on by threatening to report posts you don't like. You've guaranteed that people are going to respond, usually in a negative manner, which could be easily taken as baiting them in order to elicit a response that would allow you to report them. That would fall under the 'harassment' they mention on the report form, in case it escaped you.

A perfect example of you not taking your own advice:

Trying to get a thread locked implying everyone is acting like Hitler is just as likely to get your account suspended. If you don't care for this threads content then you can

A)Report ACTUAL personal attacks
B)Not make them yourself or...
C)LEAVE

Instead of trying to lure people into posting something you can report, you could just take your own advice and leave if you don't like the content of the thread. Intead you continue to troll in the hopes of finding something you can 'legitimately' report.

Open beta = early access. Especially when its SOLD as part of a preorder.

And yet another illogical post. There was nothing promised, much less sold as part of a pre-order, that guaranteed anyone an open Beta or early access. The only thing they guaranteed was an invite to the Beta. There were no promises made about what type of Beta, what days it would be on, or how long it would last.

well thats a good one lets how about getting a crappy game like Alien Colonial Marines servers that keep going down never have been a mmo for xbox in alongtime so disaster is coming i can for see the future lol

So if the the PS3 players who pre-order get a life size hellbug statue worth $500 and the Xbox players get a lego-size hellbug statue worth 5 cents there wouldn't be legal grounds? It skirts close enough for many lawyers to salivate. How is this demo any different? Call it a beta or demo people are paying for early access to the game. When you short some customers over others you are open yourself to serious liability.

Those goodies are freebies. You didn't...no haven't...paid for them, nor will you ever pay for them. If the price is the same before release and after release, that means you are only paying for the game.

WRONG. Your paying for all of the above and when its not delivered you have every right to complain and in some situations even undertake legal remedies to ensure you receive the goods you paid for. Its unlikely the law was brooken here but its still a bait and switch to offer one thing and give another. Guranteed beta access to a beta 90% of players can't enjoy for longer then a few hours IS NOT acceptable.

And yes, they ARE freebies... (on your side fyi)... hence why they're called BONUSes. I can't think of many that pay "extra" for the keychain that comes with the automobile they just bought.

I did but on track, Im an Xbox gamer, and I dont care about the betas timelength. I'll play monday then, on tuesday its time for army of two!

They didn't make any promises beyond the fact that a pre-order guarantees you an invitation. Nothing was said about dates, times, types or anything else. You got your invitation, the same as everyone else did. There's nothing illegal involved.

I have lost the will to comment on most of the **** that is keeping this thread so active,but for one thing.Those of you saying the beta is not for us are very wrong.Trion didn't add it to the pre-order incentives as just a beta,it also works as a demo which is the incentive part.If you guys were to jump on the beta and hated the game and lost all interest would you carry on testing it for Trions benefit ?.No you wouldn't because it no longer benefits you being there and you get nothing from it.Beta tests are offered to us because the dev's know that in most cases we will be happy to help them test in exchange for getting some early playtime.If we didn't all get some enjoyment from beta testing games there wouldn't be any public betas.

Entitlement? Really? Let's stop this bickering, the point here is that the xbox 360 getting a beta significantly shorter than the other consoles is flat out unfair. Say what you want but this is what it is. Now nothing can be done, but until we get more details about the beta then we are Entitled to express our opinion
