WRONG. Your paying for all of the above and when its not delivered you have every right to complain and in some situations even undertake legal remedies to ensure you receive the goods you paid for. Its unlikely the law was brooken here but its still a bait and switch to offer one thing and give another. Guranteed beta access to a beta 90% of players can't enjoy for longer then a few hours IS NOT acceptable.

Last I checked, every pre-order says "Beta invite, once the beta is available."... it doesn't say, "One week beta for every system", it doesn't say, "the prefect beta to match your so-called perfectly normal schedule", it just says BETA INVITE. Good luck trying to make some sort of consumer complaint stick on that is all I'm saying.

This is very close to irony, IMHO, especially since you can't seem to take your own advice and egg people on by threatening to report posts you don't like. You've guaranteed that people are going to respond, usually in a negative manner, which could be easily taken as baiting them in order to elicit a response that would allow you to report them. That would fall under the 'harassment' they mention on the report form, in case it escaped you.

A perfect example of you not taking your own advice:



Instead of trying to lure people into posting something you can report, you could just take your own advice and leave if you don't like the content of the thread. Intead you continue to troll in the hopes of finding something you can 'legitimately' report.



But threatinging to report people and otherwise posting in a manner designed to encourage a negative reply to you is completely on topic? Not very logical.



And yet another illogical post. There was nothing promised, much less sold as part of a pre-order, that guaranteed anyone an open Beta or early access. The only thing they guaranteed was an invite to the Beta. There were no promises made about what type of Beta, what days it would be on, or how long it would last.

I'm not threatening to report anyone for a "post I don't like" I am PROMISING if you come in and break the forum rules wholesale with a lack of respect for the other side of the argument your likely to get reported for it. I am not Baiting anyone to do anything but remain civil. All the threads I responded to over this issue had allready trolled me and or others. Like the guy with the Hitler reference. Why do I need to bait him when he allready posted that nonsense.

They gave exactly what was promised. An invitation to the Beta. There's no bait and switch involved. Find me an official advertisement from Trion that states you have anything else.

Do you have some sort of access to the pre-sale numbers to back up that 90% claim, or is that more illogical trolling?

they are not putting there best foot forward on this beta release which poses alot of questions and concerns of how the xbox community will be treated in future content or problems that will arise. I do understand it is a beta but this will be there first impression on x box communtiy which will not doubt cost them some money in sales. Seems that they have little to no concern with it but have admitted some guilt in the way of offering pc betas as amends. Should address it for better or worse and be done with it.

In that giuys defense, D351 u think it was. I know him decently well as far as here on the forums and see him post quite often. He's actually an okay guy. He may have just been joking.

I have lost the will to comment on most of the **** that is keeping this thread so active,but for one thing.Those of you saying the beta is not for us are very wrong.Trion didn't add it to the pre-order incentives as just a beta,it also works as a demo which is the incentive part.If you guys were to jump on the beta and hated the game and lost all interest would you carry on testing it for Trions benefit ?.No you wouldn't because it no longer benefits you being there and you get nothing from it.Beta tests are offered to us because the dev's know that in most cases we will be happy to help them test in exchange for getting some early playtime.If we didn't all get some enjoyment from beta testing games there wouldn't be any public betas.

I had thought I'd missed all the betas, as I wasn't around for the first two betas... I wasn't even AWARE they were going to do a third. I was still going to pre-order the game for PC even without beta-testing it. Why you might ask? Because I'm paying for THE GAME. The game will cost $60 whether a person buys it before it launches, or after... the B-O-N-U-S-E-S are simply that, "BONUS" as a way of them saying "thank you" for having the faith to buy the game early. Honestly, if I were Trion and saw this fallout, if they had the staff to do their own Q&A, I'd cancel all betas and decide to do it in-house instead, just to avoid all the nonsense. *shrugs*

Oh I don't imply any legal action is likely to work. I am certain however that alot of players are allready bad mouthing trion(and rightly so) over this Outrage and as a result sales will be lower. And that is as effective as any legal action would likely be. Legal this may be but Ethical it certainly is not. Its a classic bait and switch. Promise one thing and deliver another. In this case Promise beta access and then deliver a beta most can't access.

Perhaps you missed my post on the usa today article that showed 90% of worker work on the weekdays.

ps3 fanboy if u was on the other side of the stick u wouldnt be to happy neither u would feel like u got cheated on something!!!!!!! heck they need to cancel all of the beta seems like they got it under control of testing
