No we should feel slightly worried, that's the natural response. Is this how the Xbox 360 users are going to be treated with in the future?

Like I said before.. Trion is not purposefully denying you access if they had the choice I am sure that they would of had all of them with the same amount of time. Its obvious that they have their reasons for the larger amount of time for PS3. Either because of problems getting more time allowed on MS or because they need more time with PS3 for bug/issue support. If its the first then there isn't much they can do about it, if the later then they need the support team to focus on it and obviously this isn't a negative to Xbox its a negative to PS3. (and considering the lack of attention PS3 has gotten up to this point it very likely could be for this reason).

So like I said.. move on. It's not going to change and they aren't going to ignore Xbox when so far it has more of a Defiance fan base then PS3...

In all honesty i don't see why you would not even give the game a chance just because your not getting your way i mean come on and before you flame saying im a pc or ps3 fanboy im actually an Xbox guy.

I am just exited to get a chance to see how the game runs on xbox live and see if there are any major bugs one of the first games i have pre-order the ultimate collectors edition of which i almost never do.Until after i played a demo so I just hope i get a chance to check out if it is money well spent not big on season passes but it comes with the edition i preordered. And i am off work on Mon.-Tues so all is good for me on that front

You missed my point,just stating the fact that those saying we shouldn't get enjoyment from participating are wrong.You may have missed my earlier posts also,as i have stated that i don't need a beta since my order was down for the game and not the beta.My only real complaint is i was hoping to use the beta to get more people on to this game and thats just not going to happen with what we have been given.I do however fully understand why others are upset as should everybody that isn't just trying to incite a flame war.Sledges offer of PC codes (be they of no use to most of us) shows,to me at least,that Trion understands why people are upset aswell.

Ah, okey dokey... I think we're "kind of" on the same page. I'm old-school... been gaming for literally 30 years. The traditional idea of "beta-testing" is pretty much "bug-testing". It's like a trade off... the devs offer a user early access "in exchange" for user Q&A pretty much.

I get what people are saying. I really do, but the facts are clear. PS3 owners paid money for the pre-order. As part of that pre-order was guaranteed time playing the game. Xbox owners paid the same amount and were given the same guarantee. But now Trion is giving 140 hours to PS3 players and 40 hours to Xbox owners. Not to mention the difference in available free time between weekends and weekdays. That roughly 100 hour difference is substantial. Now it's only a couple bucks if you were to compare it to renting it for a similar length. Just $5 bucks lets say, so no big deal. But that's for nearly 25,000 pre-orders for the Xbox. That smells like a class action lawsuit. Legal. Not legal. Enough profit for a lawyer to take the case. Who knows. A lady successfully sued McDonalds for spilling hot coffee in her own lap. So lets not act like it's not a possibility.

To me the bigger point and the reason I think many Xbox owners will be cancelling pre-orders isn't a sense of entitlement. It's the huge difference in "beta" access and the legitimate concerns about quality that arise. We still have been given no reason for why there is such a massive difference. The discrepancy and the lack of open dialogue from Trion is a no sale for me.

Saying that would be alright if it was just a few people complaining. But considering that it's over half of the 360 fanbase, saying get over it will not have a positive effect.

I'd have to technically beg to differ. To cancel the ENTIRE game/order and miss out on everything else the game could offer, the longevity, what could come later in expansions, experience, etc... simply because they didn't get the length of beta they wanted (when the beta is even listed as an "invite" and "bonus" with no guarantee of how long it'd even be or when)... is exactly bratty/entitlement. There's been many who've stated they'd be more than happy to pre-order even without ANY beta access at all. I was one, I was actually baffled when I read the other day they'd make a beta announcement today... I had thought I missed all betas myself... seemed with only 3 weeks left they couldn't possibly have another beta. I was still willing to pre-order without being able to beta... why? Because I have faith in the idea/design of Defiance... I have faith in Trion as a company... and I have faith that this is going to be one of the most revolutionary and ground-breaking launch points in MMO history. Imagine, if Defiance takes off successfully the precedent it could set for other future MMOs with tag-along television shows or movies that feed each other.

Ps3 is harder to develop for so im not complainin about xbox I'm just glad that I get an early start

all I can say is have fun on the PS3. or whatever else you decide to play due to the Xbox 360 beta not being long enough for you.

That would be a reasonable answer if you were a Trion developer. Assuming and giving reasons as to why the Beta length is what it is will do no one any good until we get an official answer. So as I said before, we have every reason to be worried about the future of the game on the Xbox 360 until further notice. All we want is answers. I'm still picking the game up but this is worrisome.
