I'd say everyone should just turn around and walk away from any and all subjects in this thread, and focus on creative things, like hunting for codes, lurking in their twitter/facebook.. And trying to find pictures of Mr. Bowler while he's shirtless.

Calling somebody a "cry baby" or some such nonsense falls squarely under the first section. As is all the off topic bs posts that don't even have anything to do with the amb3. I can just hope the mods shut down the trolls and we can get back to debating the issue at hand on its merits without attacking the other guy cause were losing the debate hands down.
Just cancel your preorder and don't support Trion. I already know several people that now don't trust them. It's obvious they are lying and trying to blame someone else for their incompetence. It's all you can do since they don't care. Spend the money on a good game.
I understand the anger here. But I do want to at least confirm what I suspect to be true that this game will bomb before I go elsewhere. Now don't get me wrong I really hope this goes off well if only so other companies try the transmedia thing. But if they can't even schedule a beta properly I have real concerns about the final product. And thanks to the beta issues I can't even expect to resolve those concerns without buying it. Which obviously is not happening unless I get some decent time in game before it ships. Even the pc beta is not nearly long enough to allow that. We need at bareminimum 4 days encompassing a weekend and 2 weekdays to avoid excluding as few paying costumers as possible. They bought a beta as part of the preorder deal and now they can't log in for but maybe 2 hours. Yeah I'd be pissed too if I had ordered for the BOX
PC needs more beta testing time, for certain, because you're dealing with different hardware. The game will run differently on different computers, you don't have to worry about differing hardware on consoles for the most part, because they're all built the same (mostly). One PS3 will give the same experience as any other. Why xbox would only have one day, vs ps3, could be limitations imposed by Microsoft or Sony that they have no control over. This thread is deep and I'm sure full of negativity, so I'm not going to attempt to find an answer if one has been posted :P
One question though, if I was in beta 2, am I automatically invited to 3? I'm still on the fence about pre-ordering.
I do not know how the videogame industry ever made it out of the gate. Look at the NES. No demos, no videos, nothing. It's a miracle it survived. /sarcasm
Fact is, the industry is not best served by demos. Betas at least give them some return on their efforts due to the data they can get from them. I miss the good ol' days where you saw something in a mag or maybe a commercial, but most likely saw it on the shelf and was like "That game looks cool! I'm gonna buy it!"
Now everybody is all "Show me or I ain't buying." I wonder how many good upstarts have failed because of that in the past few years...
