I think the trolls are starving now. You'd think after the third or fourth time they "responded" to something I posted, usually with yet more garbage like "qq mor", and get ignored they would figure it out. I wasn't kidding guys your not worth responding to. If you've come into this thread posting garbage like qq or "whinny baby" or "hitler" or "entitled babies" etc then your trolling and will be properly IGNORED and reported. And go ahead report me back. If the mods can find any kind of trolling in my post then so be it but if they did you guys would be out long before they got to me because I promise any supposed trolling I have done is magnified 10 times over from the ps3 crowd.

My issue isn't with the it being shorter than the PS3 beta, it's the fact that the Xbox version will not get enough proper testing time. I have been in more alpha and beta programs than I could list and I have seen games that were released without enough time to get proper data just to get it out. They release a flawed product, which in turn is crucified in reviews by both fans and media. People tend to give something a one chance, and if it is bad, they walk away. Rarely do they come back later to see how it worked out even if the company patched it to where it should have been at release.

It is true that developing for Xbox is easier than PS3. Like many developers, Trion is probably more knowledgable and comfortable for PC and Xbox. That's Sony fault since PS1. This game started on Xbox. Even if you say that the Xbox version is in good shape and doesn't need as much testing as PS3, then there is still no reason to short the testing. More testing and data is never bad. The should have run the betas the same length to get as much polish done as they can for launch.

Considering this game is rather unknown really, and the fact that it's viewed as a TV tie-in which most people consider to be as bad as a the horrible movie tie-in games, I don't think flaws will help it at all. I have spent months trying to spread the word with some success. I at least convinced people to look at some videos and streams. But getting them to take a chance on pre-order or early purchase has been almost impossible. I do know a lot of people waiting to try the beta even though it's supposed to be a test. Others are waiting for after release to see it.

The biggest issue now is how they handled it. They were trying to build a community for a risky game. Regardless of how you feel about it, their handling of it is poor. Some vague answers shifting blame and then simply ignoring it shows something. They haven't even stepped in to deal with the personal attacks which are always unacceptable.

If this was a single player game where you release and move on, then this issue wouldn't be so bad. But as their plan is to have multiplayer longevity, this poor handling of the situation is a hint at how they will react to other issues in the future. That, I personally can't support. The community is already damaged which they desperately need. I simply wish they would be upfront and give a clear answer. They don't start name dropping to blame, but an explanation to the community would do wonders. If the Xbox version doesn't need as much testing as PS3, then just tell everyone. Reassure the community that their hard earned money will be appreciated and they aren't skipping steps.

Now, before the inevitable attack from fanboys, I have all systems and a high end computer. I stepped away from pc gaming due to the horrible community. In the end, I love all my systems and I have no loyalty to hardware, but the games themselves as all gamers should. This petty fanboyism on any side is pathetic and does more damage to the gaming industry which hurts everyone. Play it how you want and leave others alone. I want everyone to play games and have fun. I am not threatened if someone plays on another system.

Sorry for the long post, I tend to avoid forums due to the terrible people. I really wish this game was fun and did well, but I was already worried about it before this problem. I do think the show will be amazing.

@Arysse: Not going to attack, you made valid/logical points. We've just been calling out somebody who has been trying to be a martyr for "pre-purchasers" as well as "Xbox users" when it turns out by their own admittance that they're neither.

After reading the rest of your post however... which seems to fork into multiple topics/foci... it's kind of hard to get an idea of what you want the main point to be... as to whether its feeling the handling by Trion and/or the beta was poor... or a soap-box to speak out against the fanboy masses. Either way, all I'll say is, I mildly agree to some small moot points (like the PC elitists that make the other PC gamers look bad)... but for a good portion, I politely disagree, or at least dissect "poor handling", as to my understanding even the PS3 community were well in the dark for quite some time. But that's the beauty of it... everybody has their own perception.

PS - As far as "proper testing time", it has been multiple times stated that most the floor demos, videos, etc were done on the 360... hence seeing how it runs and performs... as previously stated above in my comment, PS3 as far as I know didn't really get much testing or floor demos, etc... therefor they may have more bugs and dust to blow off of the PS3 version. This also isn't any "fanboy-ism" speaking... I may prefer PS3 over 360 sure, but I'll be playing this mainly on PC.

Arysse I am in much the same boat as I have all 3 platforms available to me. I was actually looking into the pc port but since the ps3 gets a jumbo beta I may shift over.

My point is that I am not on the ps3 side or the 360 side. There is only a right side and a wrong side. The 360 guys got screwed and are taking Trion to task over it and rightly so.

Wow, I didn't realize it was so serious. But in considering, there might be something here worthy of working with... maybe you should contact CNN. I'm sure Anderson Cooper could easily fit you in on his Ridicu-List.
