None of these are open to the general public. They're not OPEN betas. Open betas don,t require you to be choosen to participate, or to pre-order, they are open for anyone who wants to try.

Yep, Ctrain is running the same circles again. I told them the exact same thing yesterday. I even recall using the "door" analogy when they argued it was "open beta". I said, "if you need a key to open a door, was that door already open?"... meaning the fact we need a key to access this beta, makes it a closed beta.

Um pay close attention to the word THEIR in that definition. As stated I am not a BOXER and don't see myself as suffering overmuch. Allthough I would like a longer beta for pc.

They keep repeating the same tired argument of who a pc beta you can walk into at your will by just getting a key from a very well know site is somehow not an OPEN beta to justify the claim that pc got 3 betas when in reality the vast majority of pc players are getting short changed allmost as bad as the box. Meanwhile ps3 get 6 days including a weekend.

LOL, and you're even mental too. Pay attention to your OWN words... you said, "I'm not a BOXER" but yet you scream for them... that makes you a M - A - R - T - Y - R. You're screaming about the "poor suffering of those on Xbox" preaching and preaching and preaching from a soap-box... same as you scream and scream and preach and preach about those who have PAID are supposedly getting RIPPED OFF and yet you have also paid ZERO. You are attempting to be a MARTYR on grounds you yourself do not even qualify for.

And don't see yourself "suffering overmuch"? Really? This coming from the person who for the past TWENTY-FOUR HOURS has been trashing on Trion, saying the game will bomb and fail, crying, whining, being a brat, acting all entitled for XBOX USERS, when you're not even playing on an XBOX. Crying, whining, being a brat, acting all entitled for PRE-PURCHASE users, when you yourself haven't PAID a dime.

Maybe I'm not making this clear enough... you said for ME to pay close attention to THEIR... perhaps YOU need to pay attention to the word THEIR... that's THEIR problem... if THEY want to voice about it, they have every right... however, nobody else is complaining along side of you... just you... who isn't even part of what you're complaining about (pre-purchase a supposed rip-off and xbox beta too short)... therefor you are attempting to be a martyr for a shallow cause.

You cannot enter a beta 'at will' even if you can get it from a well known site. Once they run out of keys, you can't get in anymore, that is not 'at will'. Even the Trion team gave keys during the streams to join the CLOSED betas.

Edit: Example of open beta: GCI, when they had their open beta, they let ANYONE download their beta client to try out the game and play it.
