It is an open BETA theres no restrictions on it at all save a very weak limit in the number of keys they gave out. You'd have to be living under a rock to not get one. They still have 12k keys. I mean who the heck is it closed to? Ppl on mars?
And Trion has not provided anything on why the date is so short except "circumstances not entirely within our control" which says NOTHING. Its not an answer its an evasion because clearly they don't want to give an answer.
Why would they? They're not obligated to tell you.

The fact it requires keys, still mean its closed. People won't be able to booth their platform of choice and just download it willy nilly fancy.. They'll have to get a key to be able to play, or be invited. It has been the same for all 3 betas. It does not matter if there is a lot of keys. They simply didn't give out as many as they thought they would.
Its says enough, it says for one that we should be understanding that its not something they can freely talk about. Which means its probably because they can't talk against any party involved if its due to any of them. Otherwise if it were just 'welp we screwed up' they would likely freely point out what the problem is. especially when they're willing to do some patchwork for it.

No there not but its good policy to answer your costumers question whenever possible especially when its part of a grievance you have with them. They can go right on offering worthless remedies and highly vague explanations right till the thing launches but it will only hurt Xbox sales and by extension the whole game. You guys should be standing WITH the xbox players for the good of the game not against them. When theres no tv show and the game is all but dead in 2 years this kind of thing will be a big part of why.
