BTW is no one else curious about whether or not we will have to download/install the game a second time if we are in this beta.. or if we will just have to update and enter our code when we get our copy of the game.

For PC this might a patch and go kinda of thing, but for consoles since the client is primarily on the disk and the download for the Console Beta will be a limited/gimped client you will most likely still have to install the disk to your hard drive and patch from there.

No, I'm not talking about whether or not you're misrepresenting yourself, I'm talking about assumption vs. fact, and how you seem to be doing the exact thing you've derided in others.

Many times throughout this thread you've reiterated how if someone was going to argue a point against you, they need to use actual facts, otherwise it was little more than trolling. But it's pure assumption on your part that people are pretending to be XBox players, or creating alternate accounts, just to strengthen their arguments.

So while you may believe it's happening, you can't prove it, and using it to support your own arguments is, by your personal definition, trolling, because you have no facts to back it up.

I understand that he is totally free to have his opinion, but we're not debating opinions here, we're debating facts - which I don't think by definition can be debated :P

The facts are:

1) Xbox users, for reasons not entirely in Trions control, are receiving less beta time than others.
2) Part of the pre-order bonus item package for all pre-order purchasers, was beta access
3) Some xbox users are not happy about their lack of access compared to ps3
4) Trion has offered them access to the PC beta as compensation
5) Ctrain doesn't feel this is enough, and feels it's a coverup because the xbox version is buggy

Actually I work at gamestop and if someone doesn't get a code we can just print off a new one. So it only makes since that people can cancel at anytime still.

So what your saying is I can preorder the ps3 version to get an actual beta that I believe starts Tuesday and then just cancel it and then preorder it for my platform of choice allso. Ofcourse that doesn't help ppl who don't have a ps3 but it helps me greatly. I'd never buy ps3 online again after the hacking debacle though if I can avoid it.

That's right up there with faking the moon landing. If there was a problem with the xbox version, there'd be a problem with the PC version too, since it's the same architecture.

TBH I was grasping at straws to understand something that makes no sense. A wild theory but in the absence of facts conspiracies will run rampant.

From what I read about XCOM and Borderlands, console patches have to undergo quality testing, and can't be issued on-demand the way PC can, due to restrictions by the console manufacturers - this furthers my theory as to M$ forcing the beta time.

If you want to do that you can. All we do is get your preorder. We print a code on the receipt. Now if you want to cancel and play on another platform we can just move it. Just do it in a timely manner. I may work there but I don't know how long ahead of time our people need to make sure we have the right amount of copies for everyone. I'll get back to you on that.
