Twitchtv exclusive beta time. I got an email back after applying bout' three hours later with details.

It won't be Anything compared to the other 2 ports or what it SHOULD have been. Your under the mistaken impression ms provides bandwith for anything except downloads from there store. All those games you been playing on live are either player hosted or on servers owned by the company who made the game. Even the mic chat in games is done over p2p. Sure they have bandiwth but its a tiny fraction of what many assume it is. I can do without every single "feature" of xboxlive and not miss a thing. They do nothing but charge you to use the console online. Its pretty much a scam really.


I was making the point of the inevitable conclussion to permitting Trion or MS(whoever is doing it) to treat one port different then the other. Soon you will have M$ all up in your wallet for stuff you can get free elsewhere. Just like live.

Again, that is the point of M$ restricting it to those days, to keep it limited. One port will always differ from another, otherwise there would only be one version. Sony and Microsoft are different companies. They have differing rules, and differing systems, and differing business models. Trion believes in bringing their product to as many people as possible, and that means working with Microsoft, regardless of how someone may perceive, or disagree with their business models. Did you not say earlier that you abandoned PS3 when Sony was hacked? M$ hasn't been hacked that we know of, to the scale that Sony was, and it's quite possible it's for the reason that they take their Live service security a lot more seriously, hence, the additional fees.

What makes you think the Xbox beta SHOULD have been longer? Perhaps the PS3 should have been shorter.

Where are you getting your xbox networking facts?

Oh okay, yeah, I remember seeing something about that. Exclusively for Twitch partners or something of the sort... have to play and stream it on Twitch for publicity.

On a side note, I can confirm there is in fact two NEW arkfall codes. Listed in the most recent code thread, as well as the database. Making for 78 and 79, which unlocks "Early Access To The TMW Hannibal 650R".

I'm not allowing anything unnecessary, they never disclosed to me or anyone how long the beta was going to be. So when I heard about the dates I had nothing to be upset about. Now if they advertised that we get a week long beta and then I see the date is 2 I would be upset and want to know a definite answer.
As far as your comment about microsoft in our pocket, I don't see them any where near it. I pay what I want to pay for. I'm not obligated to buy dlc, to play games, or pay for things like hulu and netflix. Those are my choices. If something changes in the xbox live service I expect to know 2 weeks before time and all that jazz to properly continue or discontinue my service. Remember we truly hold the power as consumers.
