I'm not allowing anything unnecessary, they never disclosed to me or anyone how long the beta was going to be. So when I heard about the dates I had nothing to be upset about. Now if they advertised that we get a week long beta and then I see the date is 2 I would be upset and want to know a definite answer.
As far as your comment about microsoft in our pocket, I don't see them any where near it. I pay what I want to pay for. I'm not obligated to buy dlc, to play games, or pay for things like hulu and netflix. Those are my choices. If something changes in the xbox live service I expect to know 2 weeks before time and all that jazz to properly continue or discontinue my service. Remember we truly hold the power as consumers.

May never happen but at this rate M$ / Trion is learning they can trample the 360 players and get away with it. So next time they will be more brazen. like what? You'd need to have a Live subscription to play the game anyway. They wouldn't release a patch for one system that you'd have to pay for.

For anybody using Avast, I've noticed Avast is quite popular for this. (Which is good, means it's overly observant to catch actual threats.) If using Avast, right-click the shield/icon and select "avast! sheild control" and just disabled shields for a short time for the install (not permanently)... so you can have them back up right afterwards.

Only thing I can think of is that they might be referring to the expansions... but it's already been stated all systems will have to pay either $40 for the season-pass (to get 5 expansions [buy 4 get 1 free]) or $9.99 each.

Wow I feel so stupid... It was my firewall, weird thing is it never did it with the beta.

For anybody using Avast, I've noticed Avast is quite popular for this. (Which is good, means it's overly observant to catch actual threats.) Yeah, I use avast! (even on my Android phone) but I don't have a problem with patching. My problem is getting in that first time. I have to disable the shield for that, but once that's done I can turn it back on and play just fine.
