    The Nim fight.....

Theres been so much whining here i was nervous going into it.....finished it first try, not even downed, shotgun/smg with overhcarge. Ha in yo faces! lol

Yeah it was a tough fight, but i dont even think it was the hardest thing in the game.
    Either way

now that im done the story (currently 1335) I have to say I really enjoyed it, cant wait for more!

My main issue with the Nim fight is that hiding behind pillars is sometimes a little finicky. (you get hit if you have just a pinky within the area of effect: standing a couple meters away from the pillar is advisable. It's also a change of pace from most bosses, where you want a close range spread/homing weapon (due to the boss flat out dodging most ranged/precise attacks), as opposed to the usual ranged combat, which makes things awkward when you don't have a shotgun or BMG in your arsenal.

Yeah i have 4 load outs all with different weapons since i didnt know what i was in for, started with a saw and quickly realized that would not work, thankfully load out 2 was smg/shotgun.

Ya the fight was definitely a rough one. The SAW is crap for phase 1 and phase 2, but the SAW pwns stage 3.

How hard the fight is really depends on what perks you have equipped and leveled.

To me phase 1 was the worst. Even with a SMG I was lucky to hit him with 1 or 2 bullets before he went into cant be hit part of his abilities. Basically had to get him to try melleeing you in order to actually shoot him.

Phase 2 was kinda more luck than skill. Once he makes all the images on the balcony if you were lucky enough to have the real one you could hit him hard. Rest of the time was all kinda luck on which image was the real one.

Phase 3 was a cake walk once ya figure out to just hide behind the pillar, wait for his move, then sidestep shoot, step back.

The most annoying thing is the self revive/extract is all messed up.

Part 2 pro tip: the image with blue electric thingie forming around the arms is the real deal.

I liked the fight personally. It is harder than most other fights in the game but than again it does lead up to the end game content.

I keep reading how people think the fight is too "roll and shoot" but... that is the entire game. Once you actually learn how to use roll and start doing co-op maps or bounty level enemies (Hulkers, Bulwarks, etc.) more regularly you realize that all fights end up like this if you don't want to consistently get knocked out. If you pull aggro (and you will a lot if you know how to hit weak points) you will need to learn how to roll, and roll consistently since you really can't block damage.

I want more fights to be like this to be honest.

My Innoculator ripped him to shreds. Clones die in one hit and spawn multiple bugs on death and I don't have to worry about keeping up with him or finding openings cause I just have to get one shot off and let my bug hit him while he is spraying AoE death.

I would have felt like I was cheating if I didn't go from full health to dead in 1-3 hits whenever I misstepped, or my wireless mouse decided to ignore me, or his energy snakes decided to go through a pillar, or his terraforming decided to have a hitbox twice the freaking size of the pillar. Trion, learn to freaking balance, dying in 1-3 hits is fine for someone underleveled...fighting a secret boss...in a game with healing potions and revive spells. Not in a shooter where every enemy is an aimbot.
