You do realize you won't get any of the 3 stages of pre orders they are offering right? Those require other people to pre order the game and right now that isn't happening too much on steam.
So it really depends on which weapon you want. I think the steam weapon will be better since the Trion one is just a reskinned starter pistol.
Im willing to wager that they "boost" the pre orders nearer the release date, this would make sense from a marketing stand point as it will coax a few stragglers into preordering as the rewards get close. Its not like it costs them anything either.

Doesn't happen. Trion would have to pay Steam for those copies. Steam isn't going to inflate the pre order numbers and lose money. This isn't the first game to offer 3 stages of bonuses and not even come close to reaching the first stage. I would doubt that. As I mentioned this isn't the first game to not fill the bar for pre orders. Not to mention Trion dropped the ball even getting it to steam in the first place.
I never said it was up to steam... I naturally assumed trion would ask them to. Also do you have proof this would never happen or is your 2 cents worthless?
What proof do you want? Is common sense not enough for you? Bigger and better developers than Trion have had their games not fill the bar. Steam didn't magically give them free pre order numbers. So why would they do it for Trion? There is this thing called integrity. When you start fudging numbers like that, especially in the large scale that would matter for this game, you lose that integrity and thus people in the future wouldn't want to pre order.
So what good would it do them?
2 cents is worth 2 cents by the way. It's simple math.
I pre-ordered it from Steam.
I really preferred that little Growler 4-wheeler over the truck and then there is the sniper....I can't wait to use the sniper. :3
