So has anyone got the patch yet?

Hey guys, I think there's two kinds of patches you can get in Defiance for XBox. The internal ones - where it checks each time you start the game. And the usual Microsoft patch (up to 2 weeks certification time). I believe today's patch is the latter.

Don't mean any offence, but they wouldn't make an mmorpg for Xbox live if they couldn't get instant patch clearances.

Actually they said in a Dev blog the reason it took this long was bc MS had to certify it was done a day or two after release. MS are known to be strict when it comes to patches they charge 40k for each one.

I heard from a little birdie that the patch should be expected around noon EST. I don't think they would release the patch at 9pm EST. I don't know why people would think the patch would be released that late in the evening.

I believe a majority of these patches won't be through XBL. It costs quite a bit of money to release on XBL. I remember a dev from Bioware told us it is pretty pricey to release. Of course I am talking about EA, I am sure $5 is pricey to them. But still, I see a majority of patches not from XBLs side.

They don't have to go through xbox for patches on this game

for big patches yes they do, this is why it took two weeks for it to come out, and the next one isnt coming out for another 2 weeks.

They dont have to go through xbox/ps3 for server patches.

Hi. Do you think it will be that big? Reading the notes it sounds mainly like a code rather than graphics and larger assets.

Do we know what this patch actually has in-store for us besides the expected in-game fixes, resovoir chickens, mainly for me. I thought I read on one of the stickyed posts that they were holding off on releasing more content until all the current problems are patched up.. whats everyone so excited for?
