I expect em to pop-up ingame once they're encountered in the show. You know, they need a way to show us that the show indeed does influence the game.

One of the races did leave on their own ships, and are thought to have all died out. It's certainly a plot hook that could be utilized further down the road.
It's no surprise that additional models would be in the client already. Everquest has level maps from 8 years ago that were never made live, but are still in the client. Having them already available to the users makes it really easy to activate new content without requiring a patch, especially for an episode mission. I'm pretty sure there's content that we have on our systems, that just hasn't been triggered yet.
Your Challenger won't drive? You're probably in the passenger seat.
Can't sell/delete an item? Check all of your loadouts, it's likely still equipped.
Auction house? Why? It'll just render bits purchased lock boxes pointless, and weapons are mostly equal anyway.
Gear/enemy progression? No thanks, it'll only render 90% of the content trivial when you reach the highest zone.
Yup, the Volge should be appearing sometime soon, hopefully.
I wonder if they were originally going to be the San Francisco enemy, but were replaced by stupid Dark Matter.
They were probably planned to be an enemy, but in union with the show revealing them.
