I love the SAW. Beat Nim with one and a BMG. Really hope they don't nerf it too much as right now it is perfect.

Edit: And yes you can have multiple EGO powers. You have to unlock the EGO abilities to access the other three after you select your primary power. They are not just automatically given to you.

LMG does not sound like the weapon of choice for Nim. Maybe as secondary for the phase where the multiple Nims charge up around the room, but other than that you'd be hurting yourself with that choice.

It will be brought into line with the other LMGs, simple as that. And those receive a slight buff first, so rate of fire will probably be sitting at around 6 after the patch.

I used a LMG on NIM no issues. Died first time till I understood the charge mechanic, downed him second attempt. I actually used 2 LMGs so I wouldn't have to reload.

As for the balance, we'll see. The problem with the other LMGs are their base mechanics are terrible. 3 round burst is done way better with a TACC Assault Rifle. Accuracy is easily controlled with the SAW through burst fire (let it fire few times, then release to instantly reset bloom). Which, honestly, if they'd just make it so the Bloom didn't instantly reset the second you stopped firing it'd be balanced.

You unlock them exactly the same way you unlock perks, buy unlocking the adjacent ones first.

However you only have 1 slot per loadout for an EGO power.

Correct, the other three LMG types suck. The Rocker, the Thumper, and the Disruptor are basicly gimpy versions of the AR with a larger clip with less damage. All three would work well in burst mode, if they just had more then 115, 202, and 350 damage compared to the 400 of the SAW on full auto with very little recoil . If they were more accurate at range and like double the damage they would be brought in line using burst mode, otherwise AR owns everything but SAW.

Didn't make sense to me, FRC is a lower rate of fire LMG because of the burst fire but has half the damage of the constant fire rate, higher magazine weapon the SAW.

Shouldn't it have been the other way round? Either way, put some tank perks on, use overcharge and a SAW and in PvE and PvP you can really do some major damage but unlike the shotgun you need to be able to aim.

I love my SAW. Got an FRC with all 4 mod slots unlocked and loaded up with damage, the tactical scope, extra magazine (119 currently) and of course, recoil reduction. Oh, and it shoots fires, like yours, OP. Love firing into crowds and watching them all start screaming and flailing their arms around.

Any game I play, I typically reach for an LMG if they're available.
