My simple gues, translation/subtitles.
Same story on Doctor Who and Haven, both are way behind on the original broadcasts.
And ironic, THIS is the exact reason why piracy of movies and series exist, maybe a few on channels people cant recieve, but mostly because those TV-companies cant do a worldwide broadcast.
Just an odd aspect, why do other countries in Europe get the series at the original air-date?
France, Germany and Spain are all broadcasted tomorow, its just plain stupid.
This actually really surprised me as well. I have syfy here (holland) and you pay extra for it to btw. Someone mentioned problems with dr. who. Well i also have BBC so i can watch that without any problems when it's broadcasted at the original time. No delays and no bs.
Now i liked defiance. I went trough all alpha's and beta's. But this is just ridiculous. Having syfy and not being able to watch a syfy show because of some region lock for no real reason then making more money. They don't actually think that we pay for syfy AND now go and pay again per episode on amazon or itunes?? they must be crazy. Someone said it before. THIS is why ppl pirate. And tbh right now i can't blame them.

Why can't they just open up the show on iTunes for all countries? I myself for example would happily pay for the show on iTunes. Maybe it's the subtitles that are causing all this delay but I honestly don't really care about subtitles as long as I'd get to watch the show on the air day or the day after of the premiere of an episode(There is most likely people who'd love the subtitles but at least there'd be a choice for us outside UK & US).

What is really confusing is how they make a show, that's also an mmo and is supposed to run parallel each other, and they don't even allow everyone who's got the game to watch the show.
I personally think it's an outrageous move and it annoys me, I'll still play the game however but I'll not pay to watch the movie, I'll just find a streaming site somewhere to watch it. Would have liked atleast players of the game being able to watch it online to get the full story, kinda sad really...
I also do not get to watch Defiance on SyFy. But that's why there are so many beautiful wares.
Hmmm ... what was that syfy subpage that is available to almost anyone in the world called? I think it's syfy-bb or something similar.
Still haven't found a place to watch it for free. Doesn't seem syfy works in denmark and it doesn't seem free anyways... Anyone got any sites?
