Read the top right corner of your psn screen. It clearly says PSN updates 8AM-8PM
Read also that as long as you signed into PSN in the last 5 days you can still log in and play games, which obviously I can as I'm currently playing black ops2 online.
its nothing to do with psn maintenance i was playing earlier during it plus during maintenance you should still be able to connect to game servers

ive logged in for the past 5 days but still cant log in to psn , :'[
I turned off my PS3, then went into settings and re-entered my wifi information, reconnected to PSN, now I logged into defiance just fine, whatever it worked for me.
