Removing Episode Missions to Coincide With Show Will Kill This Game

firstly, you already decided to leave over what amounts to less then 30 minutes of mediocre questing, less if you really did hate the show.

secondly, the content isn't being locked to avoid spoilers to non Americans, it's being taken out and replaced with content relevant to the next episode to create a consistent timeline that governs both the game and show, so that those that are interested in the show get something great and those not get a side quest every week, nothing they won't get elsewhere anyway.

lastly, I'm not alienating you, you're talking about hating the show in a thread about the game, and then going on to ***** and moan because you'll lose access that is only relevant or worthwhile to those that do like the show.

if you would honestly abandon the entire game over less then an hour of content that you by all means would hate (something I wouldn't put past you considering your vile attitude) then you've already alienated yourself, good job.

These missions are tie-in first, game content second. That means that as they lose relevence to the show, they are removed and replaced with new content that will tie-in with the new episode.

Every single mission in game is a push 3 buttons ( or people) and fight the mobs that come . or do fail rift lag feast. they remove the people from the cover of the game (they on the back). GL with that

Yes, I totally waited until the last minute on purpose. It didn't have anything to do with the fact I have a demanding job and life that otherwise prevented me from getting as far as I wanted to prior to the premier. Please, pardon me for wanting to be able to full enjoy such a unique game and TV show experience as Trion was trying to accomplish. An experience they are sacrificing needlessly with this decision.



They said to make sure you complete it, not that it would be removed. It seemed more a, "Make sure you do it so you can be ready and up to date for the Premier." not a, "Do it, or you'll be missing out on one of the game's most unique features. Permanently."

Just to throw my hat into the ring here. I'm surprised (ok... not really that surprised) that people couldn't figure out for themselves that these EPISODE missions would be replaced with the new... EPISODE.

Putting aside the fact that there was plenty of forewarning, did you seriously need a grand announcement to piece this together?

And, just to repeat what others have said, every MMO has temporary content. WoW had a fun little easter egg hunt on easter. If you didn't log in during the event, you missed it. Its as simple as that.

Defiance, instead of only having holiday events, has weekly events that coincide with the show. I think its awesome. And seriously, if you couldn't finish those... what, 3 missions? in the time they gave you, then clearly it wasn't terribly important to you to begin with.

they will more then likely do reruns after season 1 of the show is over
