Live Stream Was Useless

To those who do not want to know what is happening in the game stop reading here!


Between the end of the show and the live feed we do learn a couple of things both about the game and how the show plot will twist and turn.

At the end of the show, in the dinner, the ex-mayor says to the other guy with her that she set up the attack on Defiance to help clear everyone out of town so they could search for something under the town. Then during the live feed we saw a clip showing the item they were looking for along with EMC showing up.

Think how this item and the EMC wanting it is going to effect the game.

The show and things like you mention will undoubtedly effect the game. BUT if the effects manifest themselves in the form of 3 episode missions a week which can be done in the span of a half an hour... the connection is moot.

I call shenanigans that that was even live, whole thing felt scripted, winners I never even saw in chat.

I love this game, but totally agree that was a terribly hyped livestream that was pointless.

It was a commercial for the game, and gave out copies of the game, but it was only advertised to people who already play the game.

Logic is hard.

Exactly my thought when I finished the livestream.

I was so confused. What's their target audience for this thing anyway?

When's the next patch dropping?
When's the DLC coming?
What's in the DLC/Patch?
Any in-game events coming up?

All of these are going to be TBD any way, so yeah...

I really think they were just talking to the wrong guys about these stuff. Most of the people who watched the stream already had the game, played for two weeks, know about the tie-in, the episode missions, the Hulkers, hellbugs and Arkfalls... What did they expect? People who didn't buy the game don't even know about the stream and they kept trying to sell the game while there're no customers in the room!

God this is such a weird way to do advertisement and a really bad investment. The room looks like it cost 10 times more than their ordinary livestreaming room...

So, seeing as so many of us were quite disappointed with the live stream, what do you all think that they could do better?

Perhaps they could break it into two parts, each part say 10-15 minutes long. One half to be about the show, and the other to be about the game.

I was expecting more. It was kinda dull and honestly i want the old "setting" back. I mean i liked it more when they were in the office and making the whole thing through the webcam.
It was more personal. Now it felt waaaay to generic and impersonal and throughout the show you could see just how uncomfortable they were .
Simple is better!
