I agree the show was awesome and cannot wait to role-play a wise-cracking Indogene. Those were my favorite of the newly introduced races.

I just hope, in future episodes, they have a hundered people popping in and out of existance while shotting at a crystal with any and all weapons, being attack by large bugs and flying 50 feet into the air. All while Dodge Chargers drive around and people yell at them to get out and stop running over the skitterlings.

I hope they dont cut that.

My only problem is with Nolan and his age. Apparently, he is some sort of war hero / war vet, yet he is the adoptive parent to Irisa who looks to be between 15-20 or so. Yet, Nolan doesn't look much older than 35. How old was he when he was in the war to become a war hero? I just think he is too young to have an adoptive daughter and to be a war hero as well.

Nolan was 10 when the Ark ships arrived in 2013. As it's now 2046, that would make him 43. Looks a bit young for 43, but some people age differently.

Totally! My dear sweet home of St. Louis looked like Megaton - and that was awesome.

In the opening sequence, I found myself wondering just where those shots came from. I know the Jefferson Memorial park area extends west from the Arch a ways, but is there really anywhere to get that angle without having the Old Courthouse right smack in the view? (My mother was born in St Louis and it's one of my favorite cities to visit when I can.)

I thought the show was awesome! Finding out nolan ripped you off for 3 million scrips. Then seeing him save defiance with it was a mind blower.

Lol, I thought it was more SyFy garbage. The plot was lame, the acting was lame, and the "action" was a complete joke. Oh' lookie the unstoppable mutant death army cometh' we shalt all die hither! But not if I can help it with this serious alien "directional charge of nuke +5". Alien life forms obliterated, humans in the same area completely unscathed./

The reviews i have seen seem to be mediocre at best and in some cases dire. However i really enjoyed it and intend to watch it again tonight! However i do feel for people who do not play the game it may not have as much appeal. My house mate watched it alongside me and they thought it was okay they do not play the game.

It is a new genre in which we can see the show and the game develop alongside each other. With the first series overlapping were possible with the game the future series can be entwined more now the time is available. Syfy can drag on the dullest of series so i think Defiance should not have any problems so long as the gaming community are behind it each week
