Lock Boxes preference?

So what's everyone's preference when it comes to lock boxes?
The smallest costs 8 for 2 item's 24 for 3 item's and 64 for 4 item's... there is no different text apart from how many items are in the boxes, so wouldn't it make sense to get a load of lvl 2 lock boxes instead of 1 lvl 64?

There is a spreadsheet somewhere based on reported results that seems to show that the 3 item lock boxes are the most efficient overall, though you do have a slightly better chance of a purple or orange from the 4 slot.

Given that, I usually go for the 3's. I almost never get something I will actually use, so two or three 3's seems to give me a better chance at getting something I actually want, which is better than a slightly better chance at getting a purple/orange with very slim odds that I actually get one it will be something I would actually use.

ah ha ! nice I will go for 3's from now on from the start I didn't know what the keys were for and was full for an age lol, then I just got the T4 boxes and after 3 of them I got an orange, so ill head for 3's now
