Defiance & PS4

So, Trion claims that this game will have enough content "for years to come" but PS4, and the xbox counterpart is being released at the end of this year. So, what will happen to the game? What will happen to those of us who bought season passes? None of the counsel systems are going to be backwards compatible, and that means we the gamers will have to re-buy the game on the new platform. I've searched the boards for anything relating to this, and found nothing, so I ask you the gamers what should the devs do? And for the devs, maybe you could tell us?

You are wrong on the PS4. They will have cloud(or something like that) in which you can download your Ps3 games.

Well, if your going to ps4 from ps3 (which is what I will be doing) then your account will not change so I would suspect that all purchased items would carry over. If its on that platform of course, which I would think is a no brainer as the PS4 is essentially a PC this time round

Your wrong I'm afraid. PS3 coded games will not be compatible with the PS4!

EDIT: unless of course you are referring to them being streamed through the Gaikai service

Are you sure? From what I read and all the game sites have been saying, the cloud system is supposed to transfer all your info over, or did I misread/hear it?

Edit: That might be it then. The Gaikai service.

I guess I am holding onto my Ps3 then when the Ps4 releases.

It's not going to be a PS4 game, you may have the ability to play the ps3 version on the ps4 but the ps4 isn't getting it's own version.
