    question about platforms

Has anyone played this game for Xbox and PC? I waffled for a long time on whether I should get this for XboX or PC and I finally settled on Xbox, but I am curious as to how the PC version is. Are the servers fairly well populated? are the controls (keyboard / mouse) easy to use since this is a shooter? Is the chat window active?

See I like the Xbox version, but it is hard to communicate with anyone and I have yet to see ANYONE using the chat window. I don't think I have even partied up with anyone yet.

I am just curious as to which platform is superior and which one do you think will be the most active in the future as far as population goes.

XBox has had the most server issues.

PC has had the smoothest launch, and there are plans to fix the chat window to that of a mostly traditional style, scaleable, permanent on etc...

Personally I've always found shooters to be easier with a mouse (your milage may vary and all that). Interface wise, its clearly designed with a controller in mind...however this is greatly offset by the fact you can take advantage of your full keyboard to shortcut to anything on the menu you need.

The chat system is universally terrible, and until they do the planned upcoming fixes to the PC version, you wont see many more people chatting on that version than X-Box. The game in its current state discourages communication. I expect it to get better.

What about server populations? Is there anyway to know how many people are on a server at any given time? Most games have a server status page that shows population as "low", "medium", "full" etc. I haven't seen that anywhere around here.

PC servers seem to always be super awesomely populated. xD

Not sure about XBox. There's a few threads about PS3 being a bit...scarce.

Its really hard to tell. I think the game makes different instances when things get too crowded. But its fair to say I always see a reasonable amount of other people doing things no matter when I play on PC. There are always plenty doing the Arkfalls. While questing I seem to always encounter just enough people to be useful without being annoying. Its hard for me to tell if this is by design or by incredible coincidence.
