same here.waited for the patch to finish then this happens.insult to injury as last night i lost my best assult rifle after the servers timed out.... dont want to complain about the game because i really wanna enjoy it but with all the crap going on im finding it hard!

Once EA gets wind of this comment, trust me, they will work very hard to prove to you that they are in fact still the worst rated company.

"Dang!" I thought to myself when I saw the error message on Xbox.

I figured the patch ran afoul of some protocol in XBL, which is notoriously picky anyway.

So a small patch to the big patch...not unprecedented by any means. Skyrim had to do it. Others also.

If you want the Mother of All Patches From Hell...EVE ONLINE. Look it up...that was a disaster, big time.

The problem for Trion is that over 60% of the player base is Xbox, whose players are very impatient, especially compared to PC players. So these Xbox guys might just get fed up and move along to another game. Word will get around on the forums, etc. and Trion loses a huge part of their base, as well as getting a lousy reputation.

I am an Xbox guy myself, but I have been playing games on PC for over 30 years [Atari 800 anyone?], and so I do understand some of the complexities involved in trying to bring out a HUGE update, and get it to properly sync with XBL. I wish I could hear an audio recording of the Trion support people when they found out the patch bolloxed the Xbox game! That would be classic.

Hey, Trion, I'm hanging in there for now. But we gamers can be a fickle lot, and many fine games are due to be rolling out soon, so I hope you can up your game somehow. Note that we are talking about the DEFIANCE GAME here. It will stand or fall on it's own merits, and should not be considered advertising for the TV show.

Just sayin'...

Oh, and Bungie, are you paying attention to all of this? There are important lessons to be learned here for the release of Destiny. Word to the wise.
