    Defiance Crossovers (TV Spoiler Warning)

I was kind of glad to see at least one crossover plot device used in the TV premiere. The crystal that Nolan stole from you at the end of the last ep mission (he gives you his weapon instead) was used to get the Terrasphere at the beginning of the TV ep.

I wonder how much more they can do because San Fran and St Louis are quite a way apart.

P.S. I kind of didn't mind Nolan stealing the crystal because that AR kicks ***.

I feel robbed! First thing I thought when he said how much scrip he could get for that sphere was "WTH! I got screwed out of millions of scrip!"

EDIT: lol "scrib". Guess my "p" decided to stand on its head.

If not, they are damned near identical. Remember, the game graphics and the TV show might not line up identical. Look at the Hellbugs for example. The game versions don't look anything like what Nolan went up against in the forest.

Would like Nolan's pistol though. One shot Hellbug killer but low ammo. Would really kick ***.

Oh yeah, one more point regarding the crystal. Varis was giving the team to retrieve it 90k each if I recall correctly. Would point to the fact that it could recoup a lot more scrip (which the Terrasphere would have). I think it was a Votan key of some kind.

    EDIT: I WAS RIGHT!!!!!!! WHOOP!

It was the Libera Nova Gem which came from the mission in the game...

Joshua Nolan and another Ark Hunter find the gem in the Bay Area. Nolan pretends to hand it over the ark hunter but steals it instead. He and Irisa head towards St. Louis, tracking an arkfall which contained the terra-spire they are after, using the gem to retrieve the Terrasphere.

I don't think those were hellbugs.. hey were something else. The series hellbugs look more like the ones we see in game, based off of a promo video.

At first I thought they were wild POW's (those white pig looking things in the game) but bigger. As far as cross over, the mayor said she was getting ready to meet up with Ara Shandu, so who knows maybe we'll see her in the show in the up coming episodes.

Edit: The only thing I didn't like about the show was the mini spoiler scenes in between commercial. Hopefully that was only for the pilot but damn, that would suck if they did that witch every episode. Every time they'd show it me and my buddy had turn away so we wouldn't know what scene was coming up after the commercial.

No, they are mutated COWs, the POWs. I think the things we saw were some type of wolf/bear mutation. We probablly won't see them in game much since we are not in a very wilderness area in CA. There are bound to be some plants/animals that are different in both show and game because they are very far from each other in different climates.

Nice pickup. I didn't even realise this. Good to know that the show and game do intertwine in more ways that simply the same setting.

It's going to be interesting to see how Trion does this, but I'm sure that even if Irisa and Nolan aren't directly involved in the game, the game world will be shaped by the actions on the show somehow. Otherwise, Trion will be letting a great opportunity slip through their grasp.

This game needs to evolve as the show progresses, otherwise it's hard to see any aspect which will maintain the longevity of the majority of the player base.

Yeah that AR was a nice reward. I ended up salvaging it though as I'd maxed the weapon XP.
