thats ok the trion fanboys will start using other excuses to defend them like calling us "spoilt" since they now cant use the wait for the show to air or wait for the patch excuses.

i like the game dont get me wrong, theres just **** all to do, it doesnt have enough content.

I love this kind of post, because it is just the other side of the coin. You are whining about other people whining... Useful no?

You also are mad with people unhappy with the status of the game. They are perfectly in their rights to be unhappy with the piece of crap that was released April 2nd. Most of the bugs getting fixed in this patch today are things that should never have made it into a live build in the first place, and Trion has no excuses for that, regardless of what you might think.

Let us compare this to buying a car.



X motor company pushes out a massive marketing campaign about a new car model.

All the car magazines that get early glimpses of the car say it is missing a good number of things, but the car company says "pish posh" and goes blindly ahead as if everything were normal...

When the car hits the dealerships, it comes as a frame and chassis, with no wheels or tires, or engine, or any kind of interior at all.. X car company wonders why people who preordered the car are unhappy, but promises big changes and "fixes" anyways.... oh, and did they mention that 2000 mile/ 7 day warranty that came with the new car? for only an extra $5000 omgzors....

2 weeks later, the car has wheels, an engine, and a cheap plastic interior, but still no steering wheel with which to guide the car, nor pedals to drive with....oh. and still missing tires for those nice shiny wheels.....

and you wonder why ppl are unhappy?

sure, go outside, I was just there. It is very nice. At the rate Trion is going, they seem to be doing their best to ensure that we have lots and lots of time to spend outside, since the game won't be around for very long....

anet threw hotfix after hot fix from the moment the game launched.... every time i started the client it started patching.

spoiled, no the game has barely any content and its all the same, we were led to believe we would at least get more with the shows launch and the patch and we got nothing and the dlc is delayed until who knows when and will probably not give any real content anyway, i just want all this new content that was promised.

But either way, yeah, we're having hiccups, yeah there's issues. But come on guys, no other company I can name addresses issues that arise this quick. In an age where developers are swimming in millions of lines of code, it becomes increasingly more difficult to get everything spot-on the first time.

Cut the devs some slack, enjoy life, look outside, you do know there's an 'outside', right? I hear it's pretty decent. But, until then, I'm going to be patient and put my trust in Trion to fix each issue as it comes and, ya know, let them do their job.

When I was younger and you bought a game, that was it. Major bug in it? Tough freakin' shtako.

Patches?! LOL. What patches? You ain't patchin' a cartridge or disk, son.

DLC? It's called a whole new disk.

Sadly, it seems the vocal Internet gaming community has become a massive pile of entitled, whiny, impatient people who think complaining is what they are supposed to be doing.

It's pretty sad.

Thankfully, the vocal complainers are, in fact, a small minority. Every forum for MMO gaming I have ever seen has run the numbers and only a small percentage of the players are posters.

I mostly pity the people who have so little in their lives that complaining about a game becomes something that makes them feel better about themselves.

Let the brats rage away and continue to enjoy your game time.

And yet, if I buy a car, the issues I have with it are covered under warranty. I take it back, I -WAIT-, the issue is fixed.

I want improvements? I pay -MORE-. I want fixes beyond what is covered by warranty? I pay -MORE-. I am not entitled to everything that Trion has to offer and the fact that they are supporting the game is more than I could ask for.

We're hardly talking like we've picked up a high end sports car and Porche are refusing to fix that faulty gearbox, we're talking we've picked up a mid-tier Ford and, if you are willing to be patient, Ford are willing to fix it up for you and throw in some extras for free.

Fishing, cycling, recycling, volunteer work, hiking, jerking off, a soul-crushing drug habit, jogging, a second job, finding a cure for all that backne, starting an online dating profile, drinking a 40 in a public park whilst shouting at phantoms, frolf, mixing ammonia and bleach in a small and poorly-ventilated room, fix that schtacko-box '92 accord you drive...

Oh hows about you go to school for programming and then apply to Trion so you can solve all the problems you are all complaining about. Nah, lets just spam the forums with rage posts, instead.

Hows about you quit crying and report the bugs and put a little faith in the folks who after reading all of the insults and nerd-raging, working 20 hour days, and sleeping under their desks haven't just said "**** you" and shut it all down.
