Sometimes I wish I had the Z-28 instead, my first car was a Mustang it was a 66. I bought the car in 73 and my father and I restored the car.

yeah im a ford guy.i never really got into the V8 Supercar thing (i try to watch bathurst every year but thats about it). i grew up on the group c races and never really understood why they went to just a ford vs holden thing (i do know, its because they started to lose to the japenese cars i.e. gtr32). but they are entering new manufacturers into the series (mercedes, nissan and toyota) and that should get me a bit interested again.

I guess the GTR is ok but I still am a Chevy guy and if I’m going to spend that much would rather have a Corvette ZR1 just don’t know if I can justify spending US 100k + for a car but then again you only live once and reckon you should have what you want.

i feel the same way the gtr's are nice but i dont really want one either regardless of the cost. i love rotars and fords. i like pretty much anything built before 1980 corollas and datsuns and valiants (australian chrysler) and fords, mazdas and so on.

and that white mustang looks tough.

FWIW, I have less than half the cost of a GTR in my car and have outperformed them at the tracks.

you guys are talking about the new gtr yeah (just wondering cause i was only talking about the 32 and you can get them for under 30k in australia and i just noticed you guys mentioned 100k).

side not the new manufacturers that are entering the V8 supercars will all have 5.0l V8's and be rear wheel drive kinda like what they do with your nascars its the shell of the car over a space age chassis. i think nissan is using an altima or maxima something like that and toyota will probably use a camry both front wheel drive cars. and that pisses me off and is why i preffer the old school group c. they should make toyota and nissan develop a rear wheel drive V8 along the lines of a falcon and commodore. but they would probably do it better.

the car manufacturers use to say "win on sunday, sell on monday".
