I think the issue with this scene is with how weak the tie in was. you don't really get the impression at first that the item he has in his hands is in fact the same item from the mission. Some people say it looks the same I personally recall a more yellow based crystal with blue hints on it in the game while in the show it was almost all solid blue glowing with energy. Either way if it is the same item from the story mission that Nolan steals from you and leaves you with his Rifle, then his line should have been instead of "Do you know what I went through to get that" to " I almost died in San Fran to get that"
The REAL issue is that all of season 1 is already in a can and done shooting. The game then had to tie in the show as best it could during development. I can only assume this is part of why the Story with Nolan in the game so far is so short. The more I read up on the dev cycle of the show and the game the more I realize they really are at the mercy of each other. As stated by the writers we shouldn't expect to much atm from show/game synergy. It is a shame cause that was really one of the points for me to be interested in watching the show, since I bought the game with the focus of just playing the game, the fact a TV show was also related to it was just a bonus for me honestly.
All in all if the game releases some DLC now that can sync it more to the current episodes that are already done filming I could become an avid weekly watcher of the show, otherwise it turns into a Hulu show.
