Tv Show vs Game "What do you think"

TV show to me was a bit corny, but that is to be expected on the syfy channel. After all Syfy is no HBO when it comes to production value. The show had good acting for the most part but the "special effects" especially the animated compositing was so-so. But as far as in comparison Game>Show especially when the game expands (and gets fixed).

Love the game, love the show.

- Irisa in the game was a spoiled ***** with terrible voice acting and she was really irritating. However I totally fell in love with her in the show.
- Nolan was pretty much the same in both the show and the game.
- I noticed the crystal they stole from me. (*******ses, and I got a lousy gun...)
- I noticed Nolan has the exact same gun that Cooper has in the game. (Can be clearly identified during the "Collateral Damage Expected" cutscenes.) Other than that I couldn't find any weapons matches the ingame stuff. (Maybe the effects of that coldfire gun thingy and the shots from a Votan Blaster...)
- Car driving CG scenes are AWFUL (I mean, c'mon, it's 2013...)
- Why did we get quads and not bikes? Seen jeeps (sort of) and bikes only in the show.
- I really loved Firefly, and this show has the same bias for me. I hope it will last thru the whole series.
- I want to see explorable arkfalls in the game.

Thats all for now. While the connection between the game and the show isnt really tight yet, it's OK for a start and I have high hopes for the future of both.

i like the game and the show, but the game needs to be fixed and the show needs to be more...

game, broken but managing to play it on the PC, loved the tie-in with the crystal.

tv show, noticed that when Nolan was defending irsha in the forest surrounded by womp-rats, he ran out of ammo but the last 2 clicks caused recoil!!! also i think that the death of the sheriff was random not a good transition (and no one was processed for his death).

I thought the show was all right. Bad effects and some strange story elements I did not like. The overall setting and actors I did like. We will see how it develops during the season.

Concerning the tie ins. Although I knew they would be minimal in season one, such as that we won't go to defiance, I would have expected more overlap in monsters an enemies. Such as hellbugs and dark matter vs. saberwolves and The Volge. Supposedly they did have major interactions between the art teams. I am also missing new missions for the pilot, those pursuits and small events don't really cut it.

I now hope that Trion fixes the game instead of continuing to screw it up even more. Maybe an alpha test would help before the next client patch?

I think the show is much better and wish there were more similarities because so far i have seen few, but I know there has only be one episode so maybe in time

I think everyone has to keep in mind that the 1st show (pilot) had finished filming months and months ago (most likely end of last year) and gun models and beginning content of the game was still being developed.

I think as time goes on we’ll start seeing more Show vs. game similarities.

Both are pretty awful. The game might get better, the TV show probably won't.

Nolan took the crystal from me also and it was cool to see it in the show.

The show was excellent for me.

I really enjoy the game, but it's nothing spectacular. If the game had absolutely nothing to do with the show and it was just released as a game I don't know if I'd spend a lot of time with it. But, since I've taken such a shine to the show and I want to see how the tv/game collaboration develops, I'm sticking around.

But don't kid yourselves, the show is the big deal here. The game is just a companion to the show. The show is what is going to bring in the big bucks and that's where the investment is.
