Been playing this game for quite some time now, and throughout my travels I have noticed one thing; over 60% of the players I see look exactly alike. Survivalist outfit, cropped brown hair, dark skin. I play on Xbox US server, so I'm wondering if any of you have noticed this too?

I could be wrong but I hear tales that in Arkfalls, or areas with alot of stress on the servers the game makes them look like that to releive some pressure off the servers.Originally Posted by Juggernaut
Yup its this. They dont really all look the same. Happens to me quite a bit whenever near the first Earth camp.

In really populated areas it loads that character model but if you hang round for a bit people's actual models will load.
most people don't bother to make their character look unique.
not that there is a whole lot of room for diversity.
Other MMOs handle characters having tons of different particle effects, armour, weapons, etc. I would rather people phase in if you cant see them than load everyone as a generic doll then pop in their appearance later.
Most people i see look unique, however, it is easy to spot a few people here and there who will look the same due to the limited customization and theres some odd glitch that occurs often that sets every player to look like the default Male Human
Thought it could be the loading, probably takes more time than to my expectations to pop their characters up then. Thanks for the info
