not that there is a whole lot of room for diversity.
True but literal carbon copies does kinda suck after awhile, sometimes I dig just looking around the hubs and seeing what people are sporting or actually looking at their face paint/scars etc.

Most other MMOs arent cross platform with consoles. Its not a big deal and helps performance for those who are having trouble. It doesnt affect those who are not, and it never effects those who you're friends with (from my experience.) It really just seems to happen to people you dont care about.

every single person i see, within a 10% margin, wear either one of your four starting class outfits, generally veteran, or the ironman suit, or the emc heavy trooper. so much power armor running around lol

Having played a game that did that (RF Online), I can assuredly tell you that you probably would not want to play that. Being able to know someone is there is far more important than knowing exactly what they look like.

Especially in this game where appearance is purely cosmetic.

Yeh I'd rather see people that all look the same rather than no-one.

Being purely cosmetic is a reason for it, not against it.

In a game where there is barely any social interaction at all, having your character look different is pretty nice. Why bother changing your outfit for PVP or gaining new PVP outfits if its just going to warp you into a clone of everyone else?

Secret World did this with uniforms for pvp.. and it was unfortunate. Everyone was running around looking exactly the same.

Do you want to be different? how dare you.

Yes it's kind of lame, I think
maybe Defiance is going smart phones soon so all gets scaled down.

Everyone I've ever encountered in this game has been the default human survivalist... I just figured nobody knew how to customize their character because of the awkward controls Trion made. I felt special being an Irathiant soldier, now I'm just disappointed.

Defiance: iOS edition. In other to make it compatable, everything now uses the Minecraft engine.
