    Removing the Filth

Companies need to take charge. There needs to be an understanding that although their input is valued, not everything gamers should be heard. I am referring to the filth fest that these forums have spiraled down too. No long are the forums used productively or properly. It has turned into a repetitive, complaining community.

Take charge Trion. Clean the repeats. Moderate the trolls. Start handing out bans for inappropriate, worthless crap. The community reflects the game. You should take pride in your work. Don't let these people who bring nothing to the table continue to post unchained.

Starting point: Activate the reputation ratings and thread ratings in your vbulletin options.

    I approve of this.

Also, a system that has proven to be one of the best ever; should be implemented.

I'm talking about the Player Moderator system. No privileges, no bonuses; just the mere function for direct contact to the community supervisors/leaders - so precautionary steps can be taken at all times.

To warn, alert or inform of current, past or future events, regarding the community.

There's always going to be trolls on the internet. Too many to be honest, and with the popularity of Defiance at the moment they will stay.

The problem with Trolls is that they have the intelligence to create new forum accounts unfortunately.

I can see your issue and for the most part agree with the sentiment but you said it yourself the forums reflect the community and the community is reflected by the content on the forums, If the forums is filled with trolls and filth that would be because the community has trolls and people who post filth. Its like going to a major city and hiding the homeless people away when the tourists are around then telling them you have no homeless people.

The only way the community can be improved is if those who post filth are ignored along with the trolls, when people don't get a response to they escalate and when they don't get any response to that they leave.

as gw2 forums so kindly demonstrate these ideals of utopian mmo communities do not pan out too well.

unless ofc your first and foremost intent is to have an echo chamber with nothing of value posted.

I agree. It really is becoming pretty ridiculous. Some moderation is definitely needed.

The community reflects the game <---as you post it yourself op.

Nothing is ever perfect but there is a lot of ongoing problems and some people have the need to vent their frustration.
I do not encourage trolling but constructive criticism is not a bad thing.
