    Outlaw(PK) / CvC / PvE Raids(Alcatraz Island) / New Instanced Zone (East Bay??)

    I know game is lacking in many departments but at the moment i enjoy the game..
    Even tho i am not max EGO yet, i'm 2200+ and pretty much i'm bored with the content..
    Don't get me wrong people, i am not bored with Defiance.. I'm bored cause i have been farming same events over n over n over n over again.. i don't mind farming since when the chips are down i can farm better than any Chinese fella..

    In themepark style mmorpg, generally players start level 1 and past thru zones and eventually they reach max level.. and in those games generally more than couple max level open-world zones given to these players, so they can farm daily or farm resources or do open-world ganking etc. This way players do not get bored while grinding.. since they pass thru zones and they never go back to those lowbie zones..

    If we consider Defiance, its leveling/perk aka skill system is not class based, this is total sandbox style character freedom. However, the initial world map is not big enough for proper sandbox mmo.. not to mention this is shooter based mmo so its already will lack housing/crafting etc..
    Maybe crafting etc. will be implemented in the future i do not know..

    Back to topic > In defiance EGO 1 to 5000 we are hanging out in the same zones.. Game is always in the same zones.. So pretty much since there is no vertical progression in defiance, there is no need for lowbie zones.. since there is no such thing as lowbie in defiance.. considering only difference between EGO 100 and 5000 is just more perks.. pretty much base weapon damage is always same..

    I have nothing against this since it makes sense.. horizontal progression does not require lowbie zones.. so pretty much every zone in this game is shared zone for every EGO rating..

    However, i do believe Trion can add more fun to this game by implementing some new features like:
    Outlaw(PK)
    CvC(Clan vs Clan)
    8+man Co-op(Raid)
    New Instanced PvPvE Zone for High levels (EGO 3000+)


    Outlaw(PK): Since this game is based on sandbox elements and single faction.. it requires ability to kill random player in open world for no absolute gain rather than personal satisfaction.. PK system would give this.. Once a player declare Outlaw he or she should be able to attack anybody, and everybody else should be able to attack whoever declared Outlaw.. Not every player is team-player, not every player likes team-pvp.. Some players prefer solo open-world ganking.. Unfortunately defiance provides only instanced TDM, instanced Domination and "open-world" domination.. Shadow war is okay for solo ganking but still its team and objective based.. Outlaw system must since there is no Faction vs Faction system.. I know some players do not wish to be ganked and there are some players who prefers not to engage in PvP.. They would oppose this since there is no PvP or PvE server choice in the game.. If this system implemented, Trion has to add new server so there can be PC-EU-PvP ,PC-EU-PvE, Ps3-US-PvE, ps3-US-PvP.. and also character transfer etc.. possibly this suggestion would never implement, too much work needed...

    CvC: Clan vs Clan.. This should be implemented so Clans can declare war to other clans.. and they can pvp wherever whenever.. Since there is 1 server and many players i don't know how this would do since i am guessing there is more than 50+ server channels in zones maybe more during prime time.. i'm not sure how big the servers are and how many players per channel holds.. in this case CvC could be a bust since it would be hard to locate other clan members since they can be in another phase and there is no phase change button except "Go to friend" .. however, if they implement something like CvC, probably they would think of this situation and they might arrange adversaries to load in same phase aka channel. In plus to that maybe Clan vs Clan Cpvp could be implemented.. it would be interesting to see organized teams to fight each other in Observatory or Waterfront..

    PvE Raids: We have couple co-op maps but they are pretty much easier than super mario.. Seriously there are people in this world who can not do some jumps in Super Mario game, even those players can finish any Defiance Co-op blindfolded.. I played Rift.. My guild killed their release raid content perfect EU first.. Those days i was impressed by Trion.. I personally talked with devs and even arranged my guild to test Hammerknell instance on test servers.. After working with Rift devs and testing HK i was totally impressed with the professionalism and coding techniques of Trion Devs. Pretty much the devs were able to change the boss mechanics while we were engaged in combat with the boss. without hotfix, without patch, without server restart. After i seeing the Defiance PvE, i can say only decent boss is Single player boss Nim.. Pretty much rest of the Bosses in game is so easy.. Game is lacking hardcore pve content.. where players has to wipe 100 times in order to perfect the kill.. Defiance has great engine and there are no performance issues in arkfall combats even tho sometimes more than 100 players in same area.. So i think this game would easily handle 40+ man raid instance however it would be unnecessary.. I believe this game needs 8-16 man raid instance with decent boss fights like Rift.. Since the game is in SF bay area maybe Alcatraz could be a good choice for first Raid instance.. Ofc for casual players there could be normal mode but for Hardcore Gamers more challenging modes also needed..

    New Instanced Zone: As i mentioned earlier level 1 to 5000 we are hanging out in the same zone and pretty much its same stuff all the time.. Maybe East Bay area can be implemented in the game as Instanced zone.. High EGO players can queue for it and it could be PvPvE zone.. Zone could have player limit and players could divide in 2 teams( as usual in defiance)... There could be checkpoints and bases guarded by NPC's.. Teams should try to eliminate NPCs and control the areas.. Whoever controls the Base or checkpoint would spawn his own NPC's there.. Other team can strike and kill players and npcs, this way they can regain control of the checkpoint or the base or whatever.. Pretty much Castle Siege style pvp.. There doesn't has to be EGO limit but in order to have experienced and dedicated players in the fight it would be wise to put min EGO limit.. Maybe something like this can be added with DLC ?


    These are just suggestions.. I am not perfect so if my suggestions offend anybody i'm deeply sorry.. I do not care if my suggestions added or not, i will keep playing the game.. But i do feel game needs little bit more content and fun Multi-player wise.. As single-player, game is already decent.. Not good graphics for single player but good story..

    I like these. My clan and I have also come up with several suggestions to add to the game and break the monotony, but I am far too lazy to type them up and they would probably be ignored anyways. I love the suggestions, I was surprised to actually see good suggestions in the suggestions forum. Hopefully Trion catches this and takes something from it.

    I think PK system could work but only if it's not forced, otherwise you'll just make lots of people quit as you implied so yourself. It could be something like you flag yourself as a PKer and get a red name, and go around fight other people that have also flagged themselves, not random people who are enjoying the game on their own. Otherwise I see it as a game-breaking "feature", wouldn't want to have fun at someone else's expense just like many do in Arma/DayZ. We've got PVP and Shadow Wars otherwise, nobody should be forced into PVP, that is all.

    yeah as i stated you need pvp / pve server choice before implementing PK system

    what do you think of pvpve siege zone or pve raids?

    I like to see these ideas, but yes confined to one massive PvP area, for example the badlands.

    Only problem I see with this is... Do we have the player base? I'm not 100% sure but maybe we do. Oh also, would characters transfer over to this pvp server? I think you should just be able to switch between pvp and pve, would be interesting.

    I think we should stick with the PVP we have such as the Shadow Wars and the few maps we have. Yes we need to spice it up, but not throw it over the whole server. I honestly don't see a reason to set up a PVP server, just add more content to what we have and the Dev's most likely are going to add more maps for PVP. Other wise we end up giving the hackers a free hand at everyone all the time. I've seen that happen way too many time in other games.

    Gotta agree with Lt_Defiance, I'm not sure if we got enough people for such a segregation unless they merge US and EU. Having open-world battles only between the people that are flagged still sounds more appealing in my opinion. Although there should be certain precautionary features to enforce fairplay such as cooldowns on flagging and unflagging {such as, 1 minute cooldown as long as you're not engaged in combat}, just so people can't abuse it to death like in TERA.

    As for pvpve siege zones, when they finally expand the map, I don't see why not, it'd be like the "badlands" I suppose. Reminded me of the RvR areas in Warhammer Online, same concept I believe. And the harder/bigger scale PVE Raids with more than only 4 people sounds quite fun, +1 on that.
