Anyone had a chance to compare console versions?

Really not trying to start a console fight here. Just curious. How does the PS3 version play versus the 360?

On 360, my FPS drops quite a bit when several other players are on screen. Also when there are several smoke/lighting effects, and of course, at Arkfalls where there's just too much going on at once.

Sometimes the framerate is smooth as silk, and I'd swear I was getting 40+ FPS, but I'm usually in a corner of the map with nobody around. Many times i think the FPS drops have more to do with network traffic than the actual game or power of the 360.

How is it on the PS3? Anybody played both and noticed any major differences?

They're all the same just get it on whatever console you like the controller better. Everyone that says different is probably a fanboy/fangirl of that console.

To be truthful if you look over the PS3 sections and the 360 ones you see less issues with lag and such on the PS3 one. But thats mostly because the two are diffrent beasts.

Yeah, I expect differences. I guess what I'm trying to determine is if some of the FPS drops I experience frequently on 360 are simply the result of early, relatively unpatched coding and maybe some buggy network code, or if it's a general lack of power on the 360.

360 and PS3 are fairly closely matched in terms of processing power, so if one console was having trouble handling Defiance I would expect some similar problems from the other.

It's not about trying to determine which console is better, or even which one to buy Defiance for, I'm simply trying to get an idea of how the game is playing on console in general.
