Servers went down at 3pm gmt. It is now 8pm gmt. 5 hour downtime is not acceptable.

One of the smoothest MMO releases? Lol, this is hideous.

I haven't complained on the forums until now but the servers are constantly going down an I am getting sick of it. When i buy product i expect to be able to play it when i want. I don't care if it is an MMO. It's about time game releases were smooth. It's not like there haven't been a million game releases to learn off of.

Also what is up with the support? I have been waiting since just after launch for someone to answer my support ticket. Nearly two week wait!

I do love the game though. - When i can play it!

Also, it would be beneficial to us Europeans if you post server update times in our timezone in game and maybe update the servers early in the morning when us Europeans are snoozing?

    It is acceptable....

How many times did WoW go down on Tuesdays for 4-5 hours? WoW did it every week and nobody complained.. This is once in a blue moon.

Information on the server status is located in the server status forum page... And you definitely have never played an mmo before

Coming from some-one who probably has no idea how much work actually goes into making a game, let alone an MMO, that is an utterly laughable statement.

4 years of development does not make a game foolproof. Why do you think such things as Patching and Updates exist? It's never entirely perfect and any game developer who claims it is perfect is a fool as well.

Thumbs up, got the same feeling. Love the game, hate the disorganized patches/release. And for the record, this is'nt a smooth release. Their beta test went smoother!

They are already starting to remind me of a mmorpg game called "Seed the game" - I'm not sure how famous it is, as it only ran for like a couple of months. It was well a head of it's time, epic story line (scify), epic gameplay - But they release stuff to early, not tested and ended up closing down as the cost piled up.

EDIT: Guess i'll use the down time to research up on "Seed", wish that game would one day rise again.

I have played WOW since release and still hold an active account. The point i was attempting to make is that WOW is an old game released years ago. Its about time the devs prepare more for launches.

Yes WoW was ridiculous with its constant downtime and the bloody rollbacks. WoW in my opinion was the worst game launch ever until Diablo and SimCity came along.

well guild wars 2 was my first mmo i tryed and i had no problems with server issues.. somehow the problems with this game occur to often, defiance has the same price as any other xbox game, but any other xbox game i can play whenever i want, this game i can play only when developers will be finishing trying to fix it.. i really dont want defiance to be mmo killer on xbox

anyone who thinks this is one of the smoothest mmo launches really shows they have not tried that many launches. while it is certainly not one of the worst it is not good. i can only assume that they released it before it was ready because of the tie-in with the tv series and being locked in to a release date. considering that, i think the problems are acceptable but it is certainly not in any form or fashion a finished product. the crashes alone have been such a constant problem that on that basis alone you can say it has been a below average launch!
