I do have an idea. As a matter of fact I am creating my own game at the moment. Its for one of my modules at University. I can also program in c++, c# etc etc.... However i am not a professional. The dev team are! I hope!

I know how difficult it is to make a game. Its mind-boggling how complicated it can become.

Just incase anyone asks, no i am not using gamemaker. I am using a graphics engine called Irrlicht as the base for the game.

Saying that they're professionals doesn't negate possible human error or programming conflicts. Something as big as Defiance would be too complex for there to not be any issues. This is really basic stuff to consider lol

Defiance servers are still down, it would just be nice if they gave us *some* kind of ETA for them to be back up or at least put out a post that says we're *projecting* to have them back up at such and such a time, but we'll keep you informed, etc etc.

Why do you think such things as Alpha and Beta exist?

Man you really are naive if you think that should be the end all of programming glitches and human errors just because they work on Alpha and Beta testing. I'm not going to pull out my manuals and re-write dumbed-down explanations for your benefit. Your opinion is worthless if you cant think in terms of sheer reality over your blind belief that it should all work the way you think it should work.

If this was a PC only game, we would not have these issues. You can blame Xbox and PS.

I'm not even at home trying to play right now, you idiot. I play about 2 hours a night, and I'm satisfied. I do not need to play games all night to feel like I've acomplished something. The fact remains... if they would have made it a PC only game, we would not have these issues at all. It's the cross-platform patches that cause the issues.

because when WoW would patch...they had a predetermined date at times...ppl knew not to get on at certain times...but with this...its a crapshoot...i actually get bothered by loading the game and its a roll of the dice if i can play it...if i had a car that started every now and again...i would get rid of it...thats what ppl are saying about taking the game back...i on the otherhand...find stuff to do...it will be ok

Sounds a good plan. I enjoy complaining occasionally but the servers being down is actually a good thing. Maybe i can get some of my uni work done now.
