So are you saying we should be prepared and EXPECT issues in games that we buy? Is there never a point where it begins to run more smoothly? I love this game. But I'm not going to sit and make excuses for things that really should have been resolved before it hits us gamers. You can claim that those who feel this way are ignorant to how MMO's and other games work (or don't work), but at some point you have to learn from you previous attempts and be a little more prepared from the last time. If we as consumers do not increase our expectations then the market will stagnate with mediocre game launches. If you haven't found anything broken in the game then good for you. Obiously, though, you haven't played CoOps, or attempted to finish goals, etc etc. There are so many issues. Small issues, perhaps, and issues that can be overlooked...for a time. Trion is standing very close to the edge of a cliff right now. On one hand they have a great idea that, despite the bugs, is a badass game. To top that off, I thought the show premiere was fantastic. Trion, don't let it all come crashing down due to being unprepared. So far the biggest issue you have had is rushing things. I'm still holding out hope. You have something wonderful here so far.

Yet we have yet to experience the same amount of down time that WoW had. We can at least play for a lot longer then a few hours a day in this game and they have not had more then a half days down time at all during a given day since launch. So while you may not think this was playable you do not seem to remember the fallacies of the dramatic WoW release much. DAOC was right up there with WoW. BTW Defiance was playable the first day.. I was in

WoW was almost a decade ago on ancient server architecture, get a grasp of reality. Also apart from the launch day it was mostly fine and I was on one of the worst servers for it ...... also I was in on WoW's first day, care to up your trivial comparisons further?

I have played and BETA many on line games and in the first couple of weeks everyone wines and is over critical about the game being (released too soon). Some issues you will just never know what needs to be adjusted until it does go live. Any MMORPG that supports multiple platforms is bound to be a challenge.

Why do people make this statement when he's not being paid to do this?

Furthermore, I'm only expecting the basics - an ETA on downtime, a prediction of when the innumerable issues are meant to be allayed, etc. You seem to be the one getting cranky about the downtime; trying getting off of Trion's phallus long enough to construct a rational thought.
ah ah ah that was classic

    let's see

so do you guys ever intend to actually fix this game or...?
Patch was dandy, save for the fact that it apparently didn't take to PCs and we got shut down for an unstated amount of time, probably due to the fact that it was pushed back a day, which probably means they were following release suit and were no where near prepared to release it. And that it didn't fix even HALF of the issues the game is having. But fanboys will be fanboys, and I suppose the rest of us are out 60 bucks. It seems Trion really has a thing for unfinished products.

    Yep
seems a tantrum to me, down to the classic "oi fanboi" line
