Defiance: Advanced Mission Beta 3 Details

We are proud to announce the third Defiance Beta weekend which will take place on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3! Our Advanced Mission Beta 3 release will be NDA FREE as of March 22nd! So feel free to talk about Defiance on our official forums here after the 22nd!

Note: The Alpha NDA is still in place and content around Alpha will remain under NDA until further notice.

Advance Mission BETA 3 Dates:
PlayStation 3 North America: March 19th 8:00am PT – March 25th 9:00p, PT
PlayStation 3 Europe: March 20th 8:00am PT – March 26th 9:00p, PT
PC Global: March 22nd 9:00am PT – March 24th 9:00pm PT
Xbox 360 Global: March 22nd 8:00am PT – March 27th 8:00am PT

The final beta, which is not representative of the final game, will let players explore the Mt. Tam and Madera regions with Co-op battles on Angel Island and the Cronkhite Bunker. For Ark Hunters looking to test their might in some competitive multiplayer action, the Freight yard and Observatory will provide opportunities to prove themselves worthy of Von Bach Industries’ recruitment.

Thanks to a partnership with Dodge, we revealed last week that players pre-ordering Defiance will also get an exclusive in-game red Dodge Challenger at launch, in addition to the previously announced pre-order reward items. The Dodge Challenger is the fastest vehicle in the game and players in the BETA will get to test drive it first by competing in the Dodge time trial challenge located in Madera.

Defiance is scheduled for release April 2, 2013, and is now available for pre-order. If you’re looking for a guaranteed invite to the final BETA you can get your key by pre-ordering now.

In the German e-mail which provided me with my Beta code, the Beta Starts at 8am 03.19.2013
and the NDA is valid till the 03.22.2013

It is realy confusing when we get different Information from different offical sources !
And that the PSN does not accept the codes until the very 'last minute'.
Why could those codes not be implemented earlier into PSN ?

Ah, sorry, we are confused over a definition. For me, Open Beta means no keys are required. For you, it seems to mean there will be no NDA. The Advanced Mission Beta 3 DOES require a Beta key and hence it's a closed beta. At least for the PC, there is no confusion, The Beta begins on 22 March and the NDA is lifted on 22 March.

I can see where you and others got confused. I'm sorry if I've added to the confusion.

I bet this has been cleared up somewhere. I pre ordered from trion a month ago (pc version), when will i recive my beta key or should I have it already and there is a mixup? sorry again if this is a common question, but there is so much beta talk that i cant read through it all.

Don't quote me on this but I believe this holds true for people who pre ordered the game directly through Trion or other retailers, but not 100% sure. If you recieved a 15 digit code from whom ever you bought it from and redeemed the code through your Trion account, then you will automatically get the beta without a key because its one in the same. So if it says something like "Defiance PC Preorder" at https://defiance.trionworlds.com/com...m-voucher-flow then you should be good to go.

Also for a few of the other questions, (again don't quote me on this) Trion will be sending out emails on instructions to download the beta sometime around the 20th or 21st to what I have gathered from reading other posts and dont expect mine till then. Some people may have already gotten it but I dont expect mine till tomorrow the earliest.

Hope this clears some things up, but don't take my word for it, I hope an admin will confirm or deny what I've said.
