    Even with no scope I was missing perfectly still targets at max range for a visible target rendering. I've got max vid setting and even have a slow mouse scroll function when I hit Aim to further steady my shot. Still I'm hitting 75% dead on, 20% near fatal, and 5% lost round. I realize the my real world experiences shade my opinion in this matter, but none the less as I read other posts there was a dropping of the ball on this weaponry class accuracy. But my statement stands that Bloom is useless for this weapon class. Personally I would simply make scopes crit bonus mods like 2/4/6/8% (white, green, blue, purple) to make snipers more lethal when non headshots land. Just a thought.

    I cant believe they dont make you account for wind speed, distance, breathing, and recoil when sniping. This game is so unrealistic.

    no scope is intentionally wildly inaccurate in this and many other games.

    accuracy stat was still reversed after patch i believe, didnt have supermuch time to test it before they took it down

    Sorry, cutting out all the rambling there. This here is the important part of your post, and I have the answer you are looking for.

    I am no real life sharpshooter, but I have been a videogame sniper for a lot of years. The problem in defiance is a simple and obvious one. The enemy's head is not where it appears to be. More specifically, a humanoid's hit model is actually a bit smaller than the actual visible character. Normally if I am sniping in a game, I aim roughly for the forehead / eyes. But in Defiance if you aim there, you will miss every time. You actually need to aim for the neck / chin to score a headshot in this game.

    Er, you realize a non headshot is also a non crit, right?

    Do you guys actually get your bonus crit multiplyer from the weapon skill? cant find an answer for this, but im only getting the 3.7% stated on my weapon, and the +4.0% from the weapon skill (level16 bolt action) doesnt seem to get added.

    lots of things have been broken so it wouldn't surprise me if your feelings were correct.

    I stuck with the deadbolt rifle for ages, head shots killed most stuff every time, they weren't difficult to achieve either. Maybe I've just been lucky so far, but I've not had the big accuracy issues I keep hearing about or maybe ..
