I was reading various posts about how people killed Nim, and figured its probably my SAW thats giving me my biggest issue(great dmg, no mobility). Then I realized, its not ME, its everyone ELSE! The people that have killed him are the console geeks!! The controls are different! These are kids! Damn Wipersnappers need to get the hell off my lawn!! They are on crack and in their moms basement, buncha tweekers!! Thats why!! Duh!! Its not me at all, Im fine, Ive been doing everyt....wait....I have been in General PC Forums.......The whole time......

I died trying to kill him with a bolt action. Switched to a pump shotgun after and did it with no problems. Took some time to finish the fight but I didn't die the second time around.

I killed Nim on my first try, BUT, it's because I am lucky and by certainly no means uber. I was using a SMG and because I'm naturally a bit of chicken shtako I was doing a lot of avoid - avoid - avoid and shooting as I ran. I didn't play beta so I had no clue that he was going to not die the first kill or second and I was practically drenched in sweat by the end of what seemed like an hour for that fight.

I'm on a PC so it's not the controls, you just have to be patient and persistent and he is beatable, it's just not easy and as stressed as I was it was one of the more fun fights I can remember in 11 years of gaming. It really pushed me to the limit.

I'm making progress with a combat shotgun. Every other weapon has been fail. Still only halfway though phase 2, but get a little further each time. SAW was a disaster. Hit a lot, but did very little damage with SMG. I'm 'a stick with the shotgun for now.

Nim, he downed me once but i got him, that damn rush of his -.- then he starts blowing things up as i run around the pillar. I didnt feel skilled when i killed him, lucky yes :P

i downed him on my pc with assault rifle, its you

I killed him fairly easily on PC with a crappy green assault rifle from a vending machine. But it wasn't the gun that did it, it was the following: -

1) a shield with a fast recharge (<3 seconds).
2) LOTS of running, hiding and dodging.
3) Learning his rotation of skills and effectively getting out the way of them.

Don't discount luck, very overlooked stat, if I'm the one walking away after a battle I don't really care if it was luck or skill!

Assault Rifle and lots of Dodging, takes time to get down the Dodge times, took me about 3-5 attempts for each phase.
