We can assume yes and thus wait till that yes is proven otherwise. You just have to give it longer than a week or two weeks for that matter.

Patience is key here otherwise it just sounds like a bunch of impatience crying ego's.
Patience and optimism aren't the same thing. Concerns and whining also aren't the same thing. Their customer base is largely upset with them, and they're handling it poorly. We shouldn't assume anything, positive or negative. We're reacting to actions they've taken, and can only, reasonably, expect more of the same until they show they're going to do different.

On that note, if I've read correctly, they decided to develop this game in a sad fashion. Instead of patching a lot of these issues during beta, they decided to keep pushing it back and release a larger patch later. There's a reason games develop at a certain pace, with small patches on regular intervals. It also seems that they know, and have done better.

Oh yes that's right i remember now, i like to pay for a complete game out of Beta, you know the testing stage a game goes through to get critical errors out the way? like some content being impossible to complete because of a broken system?

you can all keep going on abut how its a MMO and it takes a while to get fixed, but the fact that you can defend a game being released with broken content and game-breaking flaws just lets other future devolpers do the same shoddy work.
and previus titles should not be a stand point for new games

the whole thinking of 'oh but 'x' game was also broken upon release therefore this game is fine for doing the same thing' is just bad thinking.

With the quote above, you read the guy's comment completely wrong. He said there isn't any new content but didn't say he was given less content back, he was saying he now has less content.
You be the judge again and lets read this together. Im special so i need you to hold my hand through this one.

"Euuhh.... lets see.... because there isn't any New content? (False, there is new content)

They just removed the old Episode missions. (Which we all knew was comming) Perfectly good and fun content mind you!(I agree)
But they didn't add any New Episode missions in Place!(So what? They added new pursuits and gear to shoot for. Never was it said each week would bring new episode missions)

So we now actually got less content, since the patch."

(HE SAID IT NOT ME! He actually said he got less content. So whats the difference between he saying he got less content vs me saying he said that? i dont follow you sir.

Quit holding my hand now your scaring me.

I hate that people treat the digital industry so much more especial than physical industries. Imagine if car companies, on regular intervals, released cars that randomly blew their tires, engines caught fire, etc. Or any other physical product for that company. Seems like the US is far too behind on treating digital a little more like the physical industries.

Honestly regarding this entire issue it is definately understandable that plenty of people feel jipped because honestly the last time I dropped money on a MMO I expected far more than about 15 hours of things to do, granted there are pursuits which require time to complete but I wont go so far as to lable this as content. Myself I view content as something more substantial than pursuits, yes the themed event is content as it does add a couple minor things to do but overall feels hollow in terms of substance, I work each day and got a wife I spend time with and still found that I was through the story as well as the now removed episode missions in less than a week, for an MMO that is a jip, the game has potential but seems to actually give birth to more issues than actually get fixed, oh but it is just a few weeks old... not really an acceptable argument when the game was presented as working product with a 60 pricetag, honestly the last time I had this much downtime and bugs not to mention updates or fixes that cause as many issues as they are supposed to fix was when I was actually beta testing for a few different games... hell it is sad to say but the beta for eqoa was more stable through all three stages I participated in, redmoon online showed amazing progress on bug fixes for that beta and before it really became a sellable product it was ironed out to a stable completed product, just two of many examples I have seen first hand of how a game should be handled and it is sad to say right now defiance even though the game has potential is just coming off as rushed to beat the premier of the series which is also not to bad. I guess basically the beef would have to be when you pay for a product you expect it to work and be available rather than to spend much of the time looking at an oversized chunk of memory being occupied and constantly getting an unavailable notification, I figure the game will have a chance until a few upcoming releases come out at which point if it is still this dissappointing it'll turn into a coaster on the table while I myself move onto a more reliable and enjoyable experience, this game has actually pushed me to want to restart ff online... reallly dont want to but would be nice to play something that works.

I want to thank those who are staying optimistic and patient with video game developers. Its hard to see a forum that used to be constructive turn to a wine fest. Trion is working hard and me being obnoxious, (I know i was purposefully being so) is my way of stressing how obnoxious all these threads being created about some negative nonsense that really is only people being impatient.

I'll be sure to bring more cheese, chocolate and crackers next time.

I'm having lots of fun playing this. I'm taking my time doing arkfalls one night and doing 3-4 side missions. The next night I do a couple of runs on the main missions, the day after it's co-op and pvp, the day after it's world events and buying some lockboxes to try to get an orange gun and on monday I watch the show whch I enjoyed a lot. This has been going on for two weeks (except for the show) and still have tons to do.

I come from many years of mmo type games SWG, CoH, WoW, DCUO etc Therefore, I know what to expect from an MMO game when it launches. There are plenty of MMOs that have been running for months and years that have built up on content for you so go there if you need something to do and come back later, thats what I did on DCUO and had many months of fun afterwards.

I have been reading the forums for the last two weeks and all I've seen from anim's post were negative comments and sad attempts at trying to get the player to hate the game as much as him. I have seen these types of posters on diffferent gaming websites for years. They hate a game but can't live with the fact that others enjoy it and they keep posting over and over in a fail attempt to validate their opinion. You sir are what we call a troll and this will be my first and only post in one of your threads.

Being vocal, and having issues, does not make anyone any less of a supporter of Trion, or what Comcast is trying to do here. (The parent company, who owns Syfy, who paid Trion to make a game for them)

On another note, people who are intentionally instigating others should be manually silenced. Pretty sure it's against the rules.

all im working on are pursuits, and thats not "plenty of content"
You forgot the whole other side of the game.. PvP...

That's like playing Gears of War, and complaining that the game has no content because you finished the 12 hour singleplayer.
